BBQ Bacon Burger Recipe

A lavish and juicy burger recipe with a hint of smokey flavor. Tender in the inside and crispy on the outside this recipe is a texture and flavor lover's dream!

Ingredients

Ingredients for the Burger patty

  • 4 T tomato paste
  • 1 T molasses can sub for coconut palm syrup
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 T orange juice
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 600 g ground beef

Ingredients for the Burger

  • 4 Burger buns
  • Tomato lettuce and onion rings
  • sliced cheese
  • bacon
  • any sauce or condiment

Instructions

  • Give all the ingredients besides the beef into a mixing bowl and mix well until a thick paste forms
  • Add the beef and kead well until everything is well combined
  • Set aside in the fridge for 30 min
  • Preheat the oven at 200°C (390°F)
  • Form the beef into 4 patties and press together firmly
  • Put the patties on a baking tray and bake in the oven for 20 min. And carefully flip it over once after 10 min
  • Place some cheese on the patties about 7 min before they are done
  • At the same time give some bacon on your baking tray and let bake until golden brown
  • Top your burger bun the way you want and dig in!

Notes

The acid in the marinade makes the meat really tender but also prone to break apart. So flip it over really carefully!
