Hello everyone,
I am cozily sitting on the couch sipping coffee and editing some photos. I had planned a longer run this morning but my house management informed us that they will disconnect the water today due to maintenance. So showering isn’t possible. Bummer! Okay at least I have an excuse to be lazy 😉
I can’t go to the gym either as I have an appointment at my doctor’s later on and wouldn’t make it in time. So I’ll do the second best and try a new recipe later. But first I will show you (almost) all the delicious eats I had yesterday. Happy WIAW!
I am still on the bandwagon of healthy eating though I totally screwed up on following my meal plan this week. I will tell you more about it on Friday.
I hadn’t much time to prepare our Tuesday’s meals as we came home late from work on Monday. My boss is currently hosting a course of lectures and I had to attend this time. I came home around 10pm and only had the energy to open the freezer and take out some chili.
When my alarm rang Tuesday morning I felt this all had to be a huge joke! I rolled out of bed and hit the kitchen ready to prepare the food. Over the last few weeks my coffee machine had gone bust. It still works but the quality of the coffee had decreased dramatically. I cleaned it and bought a new brand of coffee but nothing had worked. So yesterday I decided it was time to react and I went to Aldi right before work and bought this lovely new coffee machine.
I AM IN LOVE!!!! The coffee is fantastic and I am happy to pay a little more for good coffee. You know I am a coffee addict and NEED my 3 cups a day in order to stay a good girl 🙂 Without coffee I am knowing for staging my own little Dr Jekyll and Mrs Hyde drama. And I assure you nobody wants that!
So along my delicious morning coffee I had a delicious Breakfast Style Yogurt Bowl. This is my husband’s favorite breakfast and I felt like I might need one of these, too. It was absolutely delicious and I could bath in it!
I had a lunch appointment at a little restaurant on the campus. I know this restaurant as it is basically the only food source besides the cafeteria. Well and let’s say I am not impressed. So I only had a small side salad which I couldn’t take of photo of because of, well obvious reasons. Though I would have liked to see the faces of my mentees if I took one. When I came back to the office I had my real lunch. A small sweet potato with chili. Brilliant choice and basically my favorite dish at the moment 🙂
I had to cancel my usual personal training on Tuesday as I fear I pulled a muscle in my arm. It hurts so much that I woke up every time I turned around at night. Not funny. I hope it gets better soon. I am not the patient kind of girl! Luckily this way we arrived at home pretty early as I was ravenous. We had still some chili left which needed to go. Thanks to Heather I had Quesadillas in my mind all day I just needed to make some. I ended up with one of chili and one of spinach. Things got a little messy but everything tasted absolutely delicious!
I crashed on the couch before 10pm and caught up on some much-needed sleep.
