Cordless Is The New Black

I remember the TV we had when I was a little girl – the remote never got lost.

It never got lost because it was attached to the TV… by a cord.

Each button would control 3 channels, and you’d “select” which row you wanted it to control, kind of like the shift button on your keyboard. Old school, right? And you always had to get up to change the channel, simply because the remote couldn’t conveniently sit beside you on the couch.

Fast forward to today where almost everything is cordless or has some added wi-fi feature (you know, because your washing machine needs the internet) and can run on battery. Even the big stuff… like vacuums.

If you asked my opinion of a cordless vacuum a few months ago, it probably wouldn’t have been much. “Pfft. A cordless vacuum? Shut the front door. You need it to be plugged in to be powerful enough!” I thought of my cordless power tools, but those do small jobs for a small amount of time. There’s no way a cordless vacuum would be able to clean a house from top to bottom… right?

Hoover Canada let me review their new Air Cordless Lift to dispel the myths.

I needed to know for sure. So the first thing I did was throw glitter on my carpet. You know, as you do.

Then I took that glitter, and rubbed it into the carpet as hard as I could. That stuff was in there. Wyatt would go nuts. He despises glitter. If this didn’t work, I’d be in big trouble.
