Healthy Orange Cheesecake Smoothie

December 11, 2015 by Juli 11 Comments

Guys I have a serious question: Can you get high on a smoothie when it doesn’t contain any kinds of illegal substances? Don’t call bullshit on me because it just happened!

You know I have a special friend that lives in my fridge. We have a long-lasting, deep-rooted relationship. We’re not entirely right for each other but we work through that. I am clinging a little too much and he treats me not entirely nicely sometimes. His name it cottage cheese and in my books he’s top notch! So don’t try to talk me out of this.

As much as I love to just dig into a creamy and crumbly cup of cottage cheese with a spoon sometimes I like to spice things up a little. I am on a huge smoothie kick lately. I know it’s odd with the freezing temperatures outside but odd seems to be my middle name when it comes to food.

So a smoothie it it for breakfast or dinner regularly lately. More fittingly I am also on a huge orange kick. I like to drink orange juice, I eat the fruit itself and I like to add orange to my chocolatey treats. Yet I haven’t paired an orange with my good old friend the cottage cheese.

Until now.

In smoothie form!

Boom, you didn’t see that coming, did you?

 orangecheesecake

Make this smootie for a creamy and orange flavored cheesecakey breakfast or snack. It’s naturally high in protein and so rich in flavor. It’s a perfectly healthy sweet treat without being overpowering thanks to the tartness of the orange that just adds the right kick.

I feel still a bit high. Cottage cheese does that with me. How could I give that up? I tell you! I just don’t!

Seeing all the ingredients, I can actually see how this would be quite enjoyable actually. Also, I’m all about the smoothies right now too. It’s the dry weather; it makes us crave hydration in fruit and liquid form.

P.S. These pictures came out beautifully.

      Thanks love <3
This sounds like a suitable answer for all the smoothie cravings. It starts to feel weird. Breakfast: smoothie, lunch: smoothie, dinner: no smoothie though I'd much rather have one 😛

I am destroying smoothies like shots on a boozy night out at the moment. This one is like dessert and smoothie at once. So perfect breakfst material 🙂
