Hola, cómo estás amigos?
Okay this was about all Spanish I know and even this I had to google. I am in such a bad Mexican inspired food phase that I felt a little Spanish would be appropriate as a pick-up line for you today 😉 Rumor has it I am feeling a little sassy again!
Luckily I am happily married because as you see I suck at pick-up lines. But let’s not discuss my inability of flirting again but talk food instead because that’s clearly the reason for your visit.
Today I have this week’s Tuesday for you guys. Buckle up and roll back a little from the desk unless you don’t mind a little saliva on your devices – this is going to be mouth-watering……
I started testing a scone recipe last week and I had one of the scones from the latest batch for breakfast. The good news is they taste actually like scones now. And this time they were not that crumbly anymore. Quite the contrary is actually the case. I almost choked on my first bite even. They turned out really sticky and swallowing was a bit of an adventure. I need to ponder a little over the possibly right measurements of the recipe. The Coconut Mango Butter was a win, though Stefan’s first association was “a sweet Thai Curry” – thanks dude 😉
I went to a morning Crossfit class and smashed three old PRs! 90 lbs Bench Press, 1:32 for 400m run and 3:57 for 1k row. Pretty impressive – not. But I am happy 🙂 My back is bugging me again and I am fed up with that now. More hot water bags and deep heat rub in my near future 😛 I even have a heat plaster on my lower back right now exactly like a granny nursing a lumbago.
When I came to the office I had a giant bowl of Chickpea & Peanutbutter Rice. I polished it off in no time and was hungry again two hours later. Not cool! Work is finally slow since last week which led to me being totally unmotivated and do exactly what I need to do and nothing more. There have to be phases like that after all the craze of the last few months!
After finally finishing the tasks of the day I quickly left the office and went to the groceries on my way back home. I wanted Fajitas for dinner and needed to stock up on some stuff for the marinade. When I arrived at home I heard a loud and insistent calling from the kitchen. It was cheese wanting me to dig in. So I followed in form of a grilled cheese sandwich. No need to say more! Okay maybe besides, OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!! #cheeseporn
When I came home I tried a new marinade which turned out just fantastic. I only say *Spicy Lime* will come your way soon. I wanted my Fajita strips grilled and juicy so I cut the turkey breast only after grilling in order to prevent the meat from drying out. Successfully I might add 😉
The marinade paired nicely with the leftover Chimichurri. I could eat this all day any day. No joke. When everyone goes gaga about breakfast food all the time (and I also had my phases) I prefer to eat Fajitas, Burritos or even Steak anytime. Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast – try me!
So again a day of food was over with many thanks to lovely Jenn for hosting!
What’s on next? Today on my to-do list:
- battling with the project accounting aka lulling various admin departments to help me out – not that it’s their job anyway
- convincing myself not to max out Deadlifts today with a hurting back
- staying un-stressed despite the bait work has for me
- hosting a workshop
- cleaning the 2nd office (maybe)
- pitching into the Fajita leftovers for lunch
Not too shabby for Hump Day?

Have a great Wednesday, friends!
