As you read this I am probably either high up in the air or already safely landed on British soil. Which also means I have either
a) a burger
b) a pint of whatever or
c) both of the above
in my hands.
But more of this next week. Let’s not count the burgers before they’re eaten or so they say….let’s have a look on my Monday plates instead.
Monday was a good day both food and work wise! I got up early as I needed to get a lot of shit done at work. But first I had a Homemade CLIF BAR! I am still stunned how tasty they are. And so easy to make.
I felt rather sassy on Monday and had a good time writing this post! That’s what blogging should always feel like! And as I had a run I also updated my ABOUT PAGE! I’d appreciate your feedback very much friends! Thanks and on with the show!
I was sending emails, planning workshops and answering questions and inquiries for the rest of the morning and at 1 pm I went to lunch with a friend from work whose office is right next to mine.
What I love so much about Bavaria is the “Biergarten Kultur”! We went to a beer garden in the neighborhood and I had a giant salad with turkey breast and an alcohol-free Radler. It’s a drink made of beer and lemonade and it’s quit tasty.
My afternoon babbled away just like my morning and shortly before my workout I had some of those Tiramisu Cookies this guy introduced to us on Sunday. I was deep in thought when making those cookies and when the dough was gone I realized I hadn’t formed any cookies but balls. Well okay, no complaints about balls either….
And as I believe in taste > anything else I enjoyed them nonetheless with a cuppa coffee. Which sent me a bit over the edge. Even I seem to have a caffeine level I shouldn’t overstep.
With so much energy and caffeine I rocked another Crossfit Workout. Okay I sucked at my backsquats and had to scale the workout but in the end I outran all the girls and even 3 men! At least something I am good at 😉
When I came home I had Sweetpotato Bruschetta for Dinner. Another old recipe I am trying to integrate gain. And a very yummy, too! For dessert I had a second CLIF BAR. I just can’t get enough AND they have to go before we leave for London!
I was packing a bit, talking with Stefan about the trip and fell asleep soundly on the sofa not so short after.
But for next week I am focusing on the burgers and Whole Foods only. See you!
What’s your favorite kind of food when on vacation?
Have a great Wednesday, friends! Thanks to lovely Jenn for hosting!
