Happy Wednesday and happy WIAW! I am finally working from Munich again today. Starbucks of course is my office of choice. Tonight I have my PhD group meeting an I am already looking forward to seeing my professor and fellow PhD
victims, sufferers candidates again after the winter break. But now let’s seize the day and talk about food.
Yesterday was one of those days when you just get nothing done. Everything happened in between and without the necessary brainpower and food was no exception. Strange enough was that after being insanely hungry last week I was not hungry at all yesterday.
When I arrived at the office I felt a little fancy. So I microwaved my banana egg bake and added a side of soy yoghurt with raspberries and agave and a second coffee for breakfast. It was really good and kept me moving through the morning. After a chit chat with my student assistant I tried to work but ended up chit chatting with other people and again with my assistant until at 12 pm my WOD (workshop of the day) started.
The workshop was a bit tedious as the girls didn’t work on much over the last 6 month and didn’t really show any interest in putting in more effort than they did so far. I expected as much from that group so it didn’t really irritate me. Luckily this group is not part of my test group!
After the workshop I realized that I hadn’t had lunch so far. It was already past 2 pm so I told myself I needed food now and stuffed my face with a delicious Chick Pea Wrap and as a dessert some soy yoghurt with cacao and raspberries. Yummy and insanely filling.
I spend the afternoon with some filing, planning and decluttering my inbox and then it was already time to go! We went home and got ready for the evening.
At 7.30 pm we arrived at our favorite pub to watch the Champions League semi-finals. Stefan and I shared a basket of fried goodies and I had an ale. After 25 minutes it was clear that the match wouldn’t at all turn out in our favor. My back hurt so I decided it was better for me to go home and not witness the rest of that misery.
So today I suffer the aftermath of that combo basket. My tummy is not happy nor am I. We shouldn’t have abandoned our signature pub food in the first place. Right after publishing this post I am going to my power plate training session (I don’t want toooooooooo) before I will go to Munich. In the afternoon I will meet a PhD colleague for coffee and then we’re going to the colloquium together.
What are you up to today?
Happy Wednesday Bloggie friends! Have a great day! 🙂 And many thanks to lovely Jenn, for hosting this fantasticlink-up!
