What I ate Wednesday #26 – Veggie Party

January 22, 2014 by Juli 21 Comments

Hello everyone,

again another morning on the couch with my blog. Can life be any better? I will stay at home today working on the presentation of my thesis which is due Friday next week. By now I am not sure what to presentΒ  so I really need to think about that today. But first of all I will show all I ate yesterday.

Peas and Crayons

First of all I have to tell you that yesterday was a fantastic day indeed. I am ranting a lot here about stress at work, long hours and Things I think are worth complaining. But I love my job and yesterday was such a day that made me realize how much I love it. I found some inspiration for my thesis, managed new content on our webpage, found a brilliant Mentor for one of my Mentee groups and planned a few interesting workshops and events I am already looking forward too really much!

Meal #1

creepy breakfastThere’s something weird about my Banana Egg Bakes lately. This one looked so creepy that I endowed it with red goji berry eyes. I am still in love with the new coffee machine and sip my way through the day.

Meal #2

healthy yoghurt bowlFor meal #2 I had a very yummy yoghurt bowl. I was missing them incredibly over the last days before my examination and it was the first thing I ate right after. My favorite thing at the moment! Sorry for the recycled picture but I forgot to take on yesterday. If you’re interested in the recipe you can find it here

Meal #3

bologneseMy husband had made that incredible Bolognese sauce on Sunday (man that stuff smells wicked especially when you’re not allowed to eat). Luckily he had left something for me and I enjoyed it with a sweetpotato and some cheese of lunch.

Meal #4

juiceAnother veggie juice for me in the afternoon. Fennel, beet root, carrots, apple and ginger. These colors are amazing and make the drinking experience even more satisfying πŸ™‚Β  And then there was a naked bar I shared with my husband in the car.

Β Meal #5

yummyveggiewrapI dropped my husband off at home and went to my personal training. After my long run on Sunday it did not went as smooth as usual but I pushed through. My arm too did not hurt so I count it as a success. Today I am a bit sore and stiff but I will do some stretching later. When I came back home my husband had made supper. Hummus, veggies and wraps. It was very good and filling as well as satisfying.

So today I will make some super good recipe cacao bars from the vegan chef Attila Hiltmann. One of my dear colleagues brought them to work a couple of weeks ago and I just have to make them too. A lot of thesis related stuff is going to happen too. So fingers crossed I will make some progress. Later on I will of course squeeze in some time to read some fantastic food related blog posts from all the other WIAW blogger. Thanks Jen for hosting this yummy link-up.

Happy Wednesday Bloggie friends!

Maybe I will try it tomorrow. But I am sure if I treid to give it a face it would turn out perfect round without the tinies notch πŸ˜‰

Your first breakfast cracks me up. I sometimes feel like a kid when I play around and make faces with my food πŸ™‚ It makes it quite enjoyable. Good luck with the thesis!

LOL!!! Is that the tit bowl creation?

So glad to hear things are settling for you at work- and amidst the stress it was causing before, it was a sign that it was only temporary!

PS Bolognese over roasted potatoes is amazing.
