Happy St. Nicholas Day!!!
The first workweek in December is almost over and I can’t quite believe Christmas is so close! I have neither any presents yet nor any ideas. Waooooaaaahhhhh! I need some inspiration! The only exception is my aunt. She said she wants to have a reversing hammer drill (never used this word before! I had to look it up) So her wish is our command and so we’ll pool our money and give it to her. Easy 🙂 BUT whats to give the husband??? Speaking euphemistically he is difficult. No wishes, no interests you can turn into a good present. He likes sport but I don’t want to get him any equipment. He likes to eat and drink but I don’t want to give him any food or booze. It should be special and personal. Very difficult!!! But at least 18 days left to seek some inspiration.
So far so good! It’s Friday and so I jump on the bandwagon of the lovely 5 on Friday link-up… For some fantastic blogs please click on the button below
This week I was genuinely happy all the time. Nothing major happened but there were so many tiny things that made my heart jump of joy! So I will share with you 5 things that made me happy this week….

The week started brilliantly with our Vienna Trip. It was so nice to enjoy a weekend full of cozy coffees and mulled wine in a city that truly conveys the christmas spirit! These red cups always make me want to sing: All I want for Christmas is you! They way little Joanna sings it in Love Actually. One of my favorite Christmas movies ever 🙂 So these red cups never fail to make me happy!

My husband gave me the loveliest Advent Calendar ever. It’s filled with healthy treats. So far I had sweet chestnuts (already gone), a few bars and self-made trail mix of macadamia nuts, almonds and raisins and yogi rose tea! I am smiling all the time when I see it as I am so happy he made such a big effort for me! And remember that I couldn’t do Lemon Hearts because I had no heart-shaped cookie cutter? He gave me one today for St. Nicholas Day. ♥

This week really was a lot slower than the weeks before and it made me really happy to be able to have a cozy and relaxed breakfast in the morning. It gave me a lot more energy to start the day. I recently discovered Banana Egg Bake as a fabulous alternative to Oatmeal. Today I enjoyed it with one of my Rose Teas. The label said:
Be content to see all the good things in life!
Well I am all in 🙂

When I came to the office today I found this little chocolate man from my colleague Katharina. The’s off today and she placed him on my table with a thank you note for the support I gave her the last month when she needed to cut back in order to finish her PhD. I was really touched. A very lovely surprise!

Unpictured because of inevitable humiliation 🙂
I had a very nice evening with my husband. We made us some space in the living room and danced our hearts out with the new Just Dance 2014 for our Wii! It was so much fun. We laughed the whole time. In the end we were absolutely exhausted but both felt it was a perfect evening. It always makes me beyond happy to see him laughing! Best thing ever!
So for now I am going to make some plans for christmas presents. I’ll be happy for any ideas!
Did the Christmas Spirit hit you yet?
Have a fantastic weekend!
