Hello everyone,
on Saturday I promised to show you the Raw Peach Tart I made for my Mum’s Birthday BBQ.
Let me tell you, it was amazing! Beautiful and inspiring McKel Hill posted this recipe on Nutrition Stripped. I first saw it on her Instagram and I absolutely wanted to try it for weeks. So my Mum’s birthday was the perfect opportunity: Guinea pigs 🙂
I slightly adapted the recipe though. I am not the biggest fan of walnuts. Walnut always covers my taste buds and I feel like I am not tasting anything but walnuts. So I replaced them with pumpkin seed. I liked it a lot.
Finally I managed to take photos during the prepartion process.
Tadaaaaaaa:
I think that for the taste of the tart the ripeness of the peaches is vital. I was lucky to bring some very ripe and sweet but still firm peaches from Italy. They were amazing and only lasted for about one day. Ooops 🙂 I also added some ground vanilla. I just topped the tart with a sprinkle out of my vanilla grinder. Too good!
I loved the tart and so did my family!
Today is my last day off. I am feeling the blues. Though I love my work I could have done with some more time off. Especially because I know Christmas will be the next time I will have some free time. And the next three month will be extremely busy with a lot of overtime. Definitely a NAY!
But I will spend the rest of the day with some fun. First I will go to the gym for a upper body workout. Since my legs are still horribly sore from leg day I will not do any leg exercises today. After that I might want to go to Starbucks and relax a little. This evening I will have to do some food prepping. For some it might sound boring but I am looking forward to it.
Tomorrow it’s WIAW again. So I think I shouldn’t forget to take some pictures too.
Have a great day!
Love, Juli
