I am back!I can’t say YAY about it but it’s not NAY either.
Italy was exactly what I needed. The weather was great. We had one rainy day but we made the best of it with some shopping and indoor training. Our typical day was like that:
7:30 am – waking up
8:00 am – gym time
8:45 am – swimming
9:15 am – breakfast
10:00 am – chilling at the pool and some swimming/ hopping through the pool
12:30 pm – lunch time
2:30 pm – hitting the pool again
7:30 pm – dinner time
9:30 pm – hotel bar
So you can see therer was a lot of eating and also some drinks included. The food was about 90% healthy though. I had some granola and fruits for breakfast and of course a wonderful italian coffee! Heaven! Fot lunch and dinner I always started with a huge bowl of mixed salad with some antipasti veggies followed by just a tiny bit of pasta (about 2 bites) and some meat. Dessert always was cantaloupe. I love cantaloupe! These were the ripest and sweetest fruits I ever had. You don’t get fruits like these in Germany. I bought two huges ones in the supermarket and brought them home with me.
Since I had beed in the sme hotel last year I knew there was a gym. Well they call it gym but to face it, it was a room with some yoga mats. But at least there was a room with some yoga mats and we had not to perform our exercises in our hotel room. We hit the “gym” every morning for exercising. We did some bogilates workouts. They were easy to bring with us and do not effort too much time. Then we jumped in the pool and swam for a few minutes. Peerfect in the morning and absolutely satisfying. And as a plus this routine prevented the typical holiday weight gain! Winner!
For today we’ll celebrate my mothers birthday with a family BBQ. I will bring some healthy dessert. I’ll try the raw peach tart I saw on Nutrition Stripped a couple of weeks ago. I’ll tell you about it tomorrow.
What did you do this week? What was your favorite meal?
Have a nice Saturday and enjoy your weekend!
