Sometimes it’s weird how things take a turn. And I haven’t even done anything. Nothing has changed. But I am so much happier than only two short weeks ago. And I have the firm intention to enjoy every minute for as long as it lasts.
Maybe that is because the weather has been brilliant here and we had warm summery days all week. So instead of my usual, I am having a glass of iced coffee today. Get yourself one as well or whatever else you fancy and let’s have a good old chat. I am also linking up with my fellow coffee lover Meg!
I worked out two times and have planned to go three times from next week on. Even though my glutes have killed me all weekend after the bazillion lunges I did last Thursday I am really enjoying it.
I got my nails done and they are now shining in a striking bright red. I chose #4.
My eyebrows desperately needed some love so I waxed them! Farewell to the caterpillar that lived above my eyes for a couple of weeks!
I got my eyes checked again and picked out my new glasses. My eyesight is gradually getting worse and my eye doctor strongly recommended to get reading specs as “I am not getting any younger”. I was mildly offended!
I made French Onion Soup. It was good but I am just not the biggest sop fan. The leftovers are now chilling in the freezer and will become the base of an onion sauce for a chicken dish. The cheese baguette was fantastic though.
We spent an evening in and watched a soccer game on TV. Which actually means Stefan watched the game and I edited pictures. To each their own.
I created this picture and I really love it. My photoshop skills are not good enough to make it look like it wasn’t photoshopped but I guess the surrealistic theme of the image forgives that.
My mom, aunt, cousin and I went to a giant flea market in Munich. I cannot think of anything you couldn’t buy there. We spent 4 hours there and didn’t even make it through half of the rows and rows of stalls. But because the sun was blazing down we decided to call it a day around noon.
Stefan helped me build a setup for a picture idea I wanted to try. The lighting didn’t work out at all and I need to recreate it again. But I am for sure a lucky gal to have my personnel engineer who helps me make my grand ideas become reality.
Speaking of my personnel engineer, Stefan and I celebrated 15 years of being together last week. We lifted the alcohol ban for the evening and had a Mule, ate veggies, bread chips and hummus on the balcony and had a good chat.
We spent Sunday evening with our friends, BBQ and a deck of cards. For a change, I had good luck and a good hand a couple of times. Bonus points for friends who live literally 100 meters from you!
We bought about 12 plastic boxes last week and in an attempt to get the basement kinda organized I will start sorting through all my childhood stuff today. Besides the actual labour, I am looking forward to my trip down memory lane.
But first more coffee!
