And just like that it’s November. Okay that’s not true. I am longing for November to come ever since we came back from our summer vacation. And finally finally it has come. Two weeks to get over at work and with the usual life stuff until we’re boarding the giant plane again and set off for the next adventure. A short one this time but I am convinced not less memorable So far still life is happening so today let’s talk life out loud.
Life – I am loving it! No, that’s McDonald’s!
Sorry I was just watching one of my favorite movies ever and I am always quoting books, movies and TV shows when I have spent too much time with it.
Current book – I am gonna divide this into fiction and non-fiction as I always read in parallel
Fiction: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban – After a few weeks of absences and getting my act together I am back with Potter again. We just can’t separate for too long.
Non-Fiction: Not technically a book but I read all I can find about moving the blog. I would like to jump right into it but just don’t do things unprepared!
Current music – It reminds me of ‘Cruel Intentions‘ which I watched religiously like 100 times when I was 15! At the mature age of 15 I also thought that no hotter guy than Ryan Phillipe has ever been born to this planet! Gosh my taste in men has changed! Luckily I might add.
Current (non) guilty pleasure – Being totally lazy in my spare time. Very little cooking and workouts, a lot of time on youtube, no glamming up. In fact I just stay at home as much as possible and love it
And on a sidenote, do you know this awful moment when you open Skype and see your face for the first time on video chat and cringe at the ugliness of your face? Seriously skyping is nothing for your ego!
Current nail colour – One of my go-to colors. Dark dusky pink!
Current alcoholic drink – This is like the perfect drink for me: Tormenta Negra without the bitters. Full of gingery goodness
Current food – All the cheese: Feta, Gouda, Mozzarella, Cottage Cheese…boatloads of cottage cheese….. but my absolute favorite is the wonderfully melting buffalo mozzarella in this Healthy Pesto Gnocchi Salad 😀
Current obsession – I spend waaaaaaaay too much time on youtube. It’s horrible. I started innocently enough with a few music videos and then I ended up watching tutorials on how to make a podcast without the slightest intention to ever make a podcast myself. I don’t even listen to podcasts… you get the problem!
Current wish – I might be the only one here but I really wish for slightly cooler weather. In the morning it’s chilly and you need a jacket and later the day it’s so warm that you sweat and/or have to carry it. I want it to be chilly now. Not cold, just a bit chilly!
Current need – taking notes of one of my more fun days here. I had so much fun writing this post and take you on a day of travel with us that I would like to do it again. I even think this is my favorite post I have ever written.
Current triumph – we finally filed the tax declaration. Triumph doesn’t even cover it half!
Current bane of my existence – When people don’t get my jokes. Maybe it’s time to consider believing my husband’s nasty remarks about me being not as funny as I think!
Current indulgence – I allow myself everything at the moment. Times will change again but for the moment nothing’s off-limits. I packed on a few pounds and I’d much rather lose them again than keep them but not for any price. So far I am holding it with this very wise attitude:
Current procrastination – lots of thesis stuff! Lots of!
Current fun – Funny yet a little sad!
Current blessing – whatever I need to rant about and whatever ticks me off at the moment it’s nothing but first world problems and that’s actually pretty wonderful!
Current excitement – my current and ongoing excitement is still my New York – Cleveland – New York trip in only 2 and a half weeks. I am sooooooo much looking forward 😀
Current mood – it is a bit strange but I am so so happy all the time. It’s completely not me. I sing (luckily only for myself), I dance in the supermarket, I smile a lot, make the dumbest of jokes and I am even a bit giggly. It’s strange but I like it
Current link – These are the 50 funniest Facebook posts you’ll ever read I saw it on Amanda’s link love post last Sunday and I pretty much sent this to everyone I know 😀 Stefan claims to be able to detect whether I am laughing about something cute, something funny in general or something dirty. I guess he’s right 😉
Any travel plans?
