The following sentence is a bad cliché among bloggers but I am using it anyway: Hell where’s the time gone and how can it be October already?
Okay maybe the cursing is just me but seriously, how can it be October already? Wasn’t it just July and I was complaining about the heat and how the time didn’t pass until my vacation? And now everyone eats only pumpkin, we have fog in the morning and I just started to wear my Gryffindor scarf again.
I’ve already been
pestering you with my travel recaps over the course of the last week telling you about my travel highlight and fails and also inviting you to share a day with us + giving you the food files yesterday so I guess we should also get a chance to catch up beyond travelling. I promise not to mention the ‘v’-word or ‘t’-word in this post anymore. Promise! So let’s talk about some things that currently happen in my life out loud.
Current book – I am gonna divide this into fiction and non-fiction as I always read in parallel
Fiction: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban – I don’t get to read much at the moment. So I am still midst the Potter books and I like it. I already have a feeling what will be my next book 😛
Non-Fiction: Lonely Planet: The World – To me it’s a story of absence and desire (Bonus point if you get the reference!)
Current music – I am totally obsessed with this song! It’s one out of my three on repeat at the moment. I sing along, feel weird about it and try not to think too much about the lyrics 😛
Current (non) guilty pleasure – Being sarcastic. I usually try to keep it at bay but at the moment it feels just too good to simply let it out. I am a pain in the ass for those around. Maybe I should offer classes: How to handle sarcastic people 101. Sounds like a million dollar idea. Sorry, I just can’t stop it.
Current nail colour – Bronze! My 6-year-old niece Audrey says it’s ugly. Kids are priceless!
Current drink – Coffee – black like my soul!
Current food – All the Chili <3 Preferably cold – Recipe with courtesy of my lovely husband coming soon! Maybe tomorrow!
Current obsession – my phone. I am on my phone 24/7. I might have to schedule some serious away-from-social-media time soon before the addiction gets to severe
Current wish – I want to sink my teeth in a slice of this soft and cinnamony sweet deliciousness and dream myself back to vacation. ← Oops sorry!
Current need – patience! I am the least patient person in the world and ALWAYS have bumblebees in my ass 😉 – ask Stefan! Or maybe better not!
Current triumph – finally mastering the art of cutting onions without crying my eyes out!
Current bane of my existence – Crossfit! After a 6 week hiatus with too much comfort food (hello B&J S’mores by the pint) and beer it feels like I was starting all over again. Seriously kill me now!
Current indulgence – Turning water into wine (extra bonus point if you get that reference! And I am referring NOT to the bible!)
Current procrastination – getting a haircut. I look like an exploded broom and I need new color but I can’t bring myself to go. So I just wear my beanie all day any day 😉 #firstworldproblems
Current fun – funny because true 😉
Current blessing – being hit by a wave of creativity in the kitchen. And I swear there’s not a single marinade included 😉
Current excitement – Current and ongoing: A 24 h trip to Cleveland in November. I still can’t believe it! ← Oh and this doesn’t count because it’s in the future!
Current mood – Over the moon happy! Meet Steve, my bff for 15 years. This picture was taken when we were 17-ish. He’s a tough nut. He does not show his feelings. Like ever! And you’re not allowed to touch him. Horrible for a serial-hugger like me! But only after 4 short years of shamelessly imposing my friendship on him he finally showed the slightest sign of affection for me, too. But he’s a loyal soul. If you’re in, you’re in for the long run! It took him 9 years to finally make the move and ask his girlfriend to marry him. I am so very happy for the both of them.
Current link – I watch this on repeat! I badly want to go there!
Are you a hugger?
Have a lovely one
