Hello again. Another Wednesday, another day of food. I am continuing my little experiment of eating my way through another blogger’s archives. In a nutshell I cook and eat a full day of recipes one blogger each time. Last week for my first ‘episode’ I ate my day through lovely Meg’s recipes. In case you missed thee yummyness, check it out here!
To say that this experiment kicked off well would be a huge understatement and so I was really keen to try it again this time with the recipes of: Sprint 2 the Table!
I am partaking in Laura’s strangebutgood link-up for a while and she never fails to impress me with unique and creative and well strange but good sounding recipes. I love how brave she is with combining ingredients and I am equally thankful and deeply impressed by how much she made me looking forward to a 6 hour stay in Atlanta between flights this summer. So on Sunday strange but good sounded very appealing and so I rummaged her archives, chose a few (and I had a hard time) and spent most of my day cooking and eating. My kind of day!
Cake for breakfast? I am game! Cheesecake for breakfast? Even more! I prepared this one the evening before and so on Sunday morning after my coffee I only had to open the fridge and get out this beauty: Red Velvet Chia Cheesecake. I topped it with the remaining crumbles from the Vegan Peach Crumble we had on Saturday. Perfection <3
I did not get hungry for forever after the cheesecake but later the day I started craving something fresh. Perfect timing as I had planned another of Laura’s cheesecake concoctions for lunch: Blueberry Cheesecake Protein Shake
I topped it with the remaining blueberries and sprinkled some vanilla on top and spooned it. Better than my favorite Blueberry Cheesecake because it didn’t give me any stomach issues 😉
I had a mental fling with this recipe from the moment I saw it on Laura’s blog in April but never made it to actually bake them. So I tackled those Grand Marnier Cranberry Cookies on Sunday. I really love the use of Grand Marnier. The cookies are soft, sweet and flavorful without being overpowering aka you can eat a lot in one sitting 😉 We had them with a side of Mimosas <3
Though this is a brand new recipe and technically speaking not from the archives I had to make it. Hello Tabbouleh Salad and Tahini dressing? If I have to say more you might be a lost cause 😉
After all the sweet during the day I was happy to have a flavorful savory dinner planned. I love the Tabbouleh Pasta with creamy Herb Dressing probably my highlight. Probably because I crave more savory food lately. We had the leftovers for lunch on Monday and it was equally good the next day. Maybe even a bit better when properly soaked with the dressing. That’s how I like my food 🙂
Many thanks dear Laura for posting these delicious #strangebutgood recipes. I had much fun rummaging through your archives and next thing on my list is some kind of French Toast 😉 Keep bringing the strange!
And also many thanks to lovely Jenn for hosting WIAW!
Have a great Wednesday, friends!
