I feel a bit sassy today and as sarcasm is my lube you better buckle up and don’t take me to seriously! I may have a little too much energy to be good for me today.
Wooot wooot it’s Monday! I may sound totally nuts and maybe I even am but it’s Monday and that means it’s officially only 2 days until I fly off to my favorite city on this continent.
This time with my sister, my mum and of course my husband who’ll hopefully keep me sane. Vacation with my family is something I have avoided since I turned 15. But now that we’re all grown-ups *cough* *cough* I think things might be a bit easier.
But I am ahead of myself. I’ll post enough London related stuff next week. Promise 😛 So let’s catch up on what happened last week.
I’ve been a bit sick by the beginning of last week but luckily after gallons of ginger tea and bone-dry spelt pretzels I felt better.
Due to me being sick and an eventful work schedule I only made it to the gym twice last week. My workouts were nonetheless satisfying and sweaty and thanks to an enormous amount of carbs on Friday I had a killer running workout 🙂
But I missed the gymnastics which I totally need! Against better judgement I asked the hubby to take a picture of my body bridge. Can you relate here?
My weekend was a good mix of fun and relaxing. Friday started with pizza and beer directly from the bottle – living on the edge!
On Saturday I took advantage of my busy husband and occupied the living room for a little workout! Good luck I am hoarding all kinds of heavy things next to the sofa!
I killed 9 episodes of Pretty Little Liars – still my guilty pleasure! Season 4 was FINALLY!!!!!! released in Germany and of course I had preordered it months ago.
On Sunday Stefan invented the most delicious sandwich ever! You’ve seen variations here before but this one is with runny eggs, crispy bacon and BBQ sauce! Yessss, the sauce totally makes the difference and ejects your taste buds into unknown heights!
Never let go of a guy who makes you the best sandwich ever! Our mutual affection is clearly based on but not limited to our shared understanding of foodporn!
And then I ate my bodyweight in those Homemade Triple Almond and Chocolate CLIF BARS!
I am fully convinced that this is the best recipe I ever created! After two epic recipe fails I’ve already made (and almost eaten my way through) three batches of the final version in one week!
Oh yes and this Sunday was Mother’s Day. I am glad for the gentle reminder my mum sent me last week ‘asking’ for a pudding filled cake. The good daughter I am I followed her wish and made these heart-shaped chocolate pudding-filled sponge cakes for her.
It was nice not to have so many social things planned. It gave me the feeling of being able to enjoy my free days rather than rush from A to B. And Stefan and I got some time in to plan the second half of our USA trip. Las Vegas, Baby!!!!
And after I learned that this place existed I couldn’t help but bounce up and down on my chair. Stefan’s careful reminder of my once-broken-now-sensitive tailbone went unnoticed 😛
Now I make some good use of all my energy and get 4 days of work into two. But first I am going to update my About Page! This is so long overdue!!!!
Have a good start to the week lovelies!
