I am stressed, like I am really really stressed. I am in full panic mode right now that leads to long hours of working and working on the weekends as well. After my presentation on Friday which freaks me out bluntly speaking I will have to make a decent point in lowering my stress levels.
I would love if this worked but luckily better advice is provided by Meghan and I will gladly follow some tips and techniques she suggested commencing next week! So far I am proud of myself that I didn’t ditch my workouts in favor for working more as this is clearly one of three things that keep me sane. Or at least the part of sane I can still be kept. Not going to my workouts is without any doubt a deal breaker for me. So is neglecting food.
Last Sunday I was working for about 8 h from home and in between had some fantastic eats that made my day a lot more enjoyable. This and the unconditional support by the hubby who cooked with me and also served Mimosas when I was done 😉
For breakfast I had two slices of whole grain bread one with cheese and a runny egg and one with avocado. A little salt & pepper, two cups of coffee and I was a happy camper. Along breakfast we watched Gone Girl on DVD and this was one of the best movies I’ve seen in some time. Good stuff!
Then I worked! Then I made yeast dough. Then I worked. Then I made Lemon and Garlic Asparagus Focaccia. Instead of garlic I used the Wild Garlic Parmesan Pesto and it was fabulous. <3 I am absolutely in love with this bread!
I had a coffee break in the afternoon and along my coffee I had some easter chocolate. I still use food to express my feelings aka if I feed you, I like you – if I feed you a lot, I like you a lot – if I fatten you, I love you! So we had plenty of chocolate at home after Easter!
A little later when I finished working I got a nice Mimosa as a reward! It was refreshing and nice and we got to sit a few minutes in the sunset on the balcony.
As I was a little too excited when I found affordable asparagus at the groceries we still had a lot left and made a nice pasta dish with the aforementioned pesto, more parmesan, asparagus and tomatoes. All in all a good day!
Thanks to lovely Jenn for hosting today again!
Have a great Wednesday, friends! I am totally lost in my data now!
