I am back to almost normal. What a week! It’s high time to catch up a little on the past two whirlwind weeks. I have neglected my friends and this little blog of mine as well as my own needs over the past two weeks and besides everything what’s going on lately this is going to end now!
So what’s been happening over here to send me a bit over the edge? I’ll tell you. This is going to be not really structured as I am not really structured at the moment and so just let the words gush…
I’ve told you a few times that work is crazy right now and I am still feeling like Daria on most days. But it’s kinda good crazy as I am going to get to know all my participants and this is absolutely necessary to establish solid working groups. Furthermore it gives me the opportunity to build a relationship of trust which is essential for me to work with them over the course of the next year. So it’s still crazy but in a good way.
I’ve neglected blogging and I hated it. I haven’t really realized how much I need this little world to keep me sane. I say things I don’t say to people in real live maybe except to Stefan because they are so random and weird and let’s be honest none of my real life friends can actually warm to watch my endless stream of food pictures.
What kept me sane was going to my workouts. I’ve made it happen 4 times last week and it was physically very demanding and I was stiff and sore ALL THE TIME. But it made me happy! My biggest accomplishment was definitely rocking that hand-stand. Okay I was using the wall as support but I managed to kick myself in a good hand-stand at first try every single time. YAY!!!!
On Thursday I went to The Script with Stefan and my sister and we had a good time. It was an awesome concert and they played all my favorite songs.
Unfortunately we had a bit of a stressful unplanned road trip in the end of the week as well. The week before Stefan’s grandma had an accident and needed surgery from which she didn’t recover well. On Thursday morning my mum in-law called and said we should better go see her immediately because she had a poor prognosis of recovering. So we spend half the night in the car and drove up to her 700 km. After one day, three visits at the hospital and one short night we drove back down to Munich on Saturday evening. I am glad we went to visit her and the really good news is that she seems to recover quite quickly against all odds.
We received the rather bad news when we talked to my mum-in-law on Sunday morning. My hubby’s other grandma had a stroke and wasn’t doing well. But as she doesn’t recognize us anymore and is always very upset with so many strangers in her room we decided not to visit her.
Our spontaneous road trip also was responsible for visiting Burger King once, McDonald’s twice and a Döner Food Truck as well in those two days. I pay off now but sometimes nasty fast food is all you ever needed! Okay maybe not but anyways!
My data analyzing suffered the most as I didn’t do anything. Friday and Saturday had been reserved for the data and those where the days we spend on the road. Luckily I have the four days off over the Easter holidays now to catch-up. We intended to visit the grandma anyways over these days and now we’ll stay at home. I have only 2 and a half week left until the big presentation and slowly I start to freak out about my current stage of work.
Oh and did I mention that I was caught speeding this morning? And did I mention that I got a late notice over 650 Euros for 350 boxed of crayons I never ordered? When the shit hits the fan……
Have a good start to the week ya all! Fingers crossed I get some calm Easter days!
