Monday morning! The weekend passed by in a blur and I am seriously tired and more than anything crave my pillow and fluffy duvet. I am usually not one to be overly tired in the morning but today I definitely see the possibility to fall asleep at my desk. Btw I’ve already had two cups of coffee and some fresh air. Not helpful!
I’ve been in a bit of an unsocial mood all weekend (commencing Thursday evening – the mood not the weekend). Sometimes I am just happy with being all by myself and every text message feels like a personal insult. Nonetheless I can’t say that I have nothing to tell. After all we’re here to catch up 😉
Okay let’s start with my workouts….
… because this is short and simple. On Monday evening I took advantage of my gym like equipped living room and worked out for an hour. It was great, I loved it, I was utterly exhausted in a good way afterwards and woke up with a sore throat the next morning! Whaaaaat???????
Now I feel better… what a good thing that I am hoarding all kinds of weights and stuff at home 💪💪💪 #fitfluential #fit #fitfam #sweat #sweatathome #weights #lifting #girlswithmuscle #fitgirlcode #abs #gethealthy #getstrong #strong #muscles #crossfit #crossfitgirls #crossfitathome #allthegains #nowirefuel
So I went to see a doctor who told me that my throat looked okay and my blood showed nothing but normal findings! Good luck but that leaves me with another question unanswered. So this week I am going to see a specialist. My doctor muses that there could be something wrong with my vocal ligaments which could be solved by talking in a different vocal range and talking less for a few weeks. Nothing easier than this!
Work, Work, Work…..
As speaking of talking. I am interviewing again. Week 2 of 4. I am in the groove and come to appreciate the periods between interviews immensely. On the one hand I need to rest from talking a little and on the other hand I get to do some stuff. Besides nothing really happens at work beneath the usual madness. Seriously sometimes I feel like Asterix trying to get Permit A 38!
This weekend again mainly me being totally unsocial and hiding somewhere. On Thursday evening I shut myself away in my home office and cleared out the whole room. I had abused the poor room as a laundry room/ storeroom/ room of shame and it was high time to do something against this. Oh god it felt so good when the room was tidy after 3h of hard work. One of the best feelings ever!
Friday evening was spent in the cellar where I found some undeniable gems from my past which I will show you later this week. It was so cool to rummage through all my old boxes, books, school stuff and photos.
On Saturday evening I hid on my reading chair with a huge glass of wine and Harry Potter. Best Saturday evening in weeks! Okay maybe not but definitely the most relaxing! Okay maybe the best. I was in full eremite mode!
Sunday was spend mainly in the kitchen cooking. As it was St. Patrick’s Day I made an effort to have something green in very meal. Stay tuned for my WIAW St. Patrick’s Day style on Wednesday!
In the evening we went to the Deutsches Theater to finally see The Rocky Horror Show! It was fabulous and we had a blast shooting rain from our waterpistols, throwing confetti (as rice was forbidden – typical for Germany) and enjoying the show!
Okay but now onto food….
Last week I made it a point to cook fresh and have loads of veggies and good foods. I was pleased with our meals and I hope I can keep up cooking so much! And when I am lazy or tired we have eggs and bacon. Always a winning combo in my books!
I am still drooling over the Healthy Rocky Road and I am all gaga about the rich chocolaty taste and crunchy and soft texture.
Okay now I am going to show you some St. Patrick’s Day fun food before Wednesday. What should I say, I am impatient! Key Lime Pie <3
Now I will have some hot tea for my throat and get prepared for today’s interviews. And later I have another one of these cakes. Stefan did reject his. His loss, my win!
Have a good start to the week ya all!
