Whoot, whoot!!! Hump Day! Me being off with the flu has made a six relaxed weeks in the office a rather hectic 4 weeks. How inconvenient! Whenever you think you’ll have a little time to breathe in between the madness something interferes. I still haven’t quite came accustomed to the concept of NOT JINXING IT! But never mind, at the moment my work feels easy to me… OHM I didn’t jinx it again, did I??? I better shut up and tell you instead how my day went including all the delicious eats.
I got up, had a cuppa coffee and then my Banana Egg Bake with a glass of orange juice. I usually don’t buy orange juice but I wanted to offer mimosas for my birthday and I think not a single person had one. So now I am sitting on 8 bottles of orange juice. Instead of milk I used orange juice for my BEB this time because of…well said reason and also because I am reluctant to open a box of milk because at the moment I use so little that it goes off all the time. It wasn’t half bad!
I jumped in my workout outfit and off I went. After almost three weeks of separation I’ve finally been at the Crossfit box again. I dearly missed the weights and rowing machines, the sweat and desperation, the exertion and well deserved exhaustion and of course my workout buddies. I didn’t miss the airbike at all though. Guess what was on the plan? Right the damned bike! A lot of it. But it was okay-ish. Finally I am well enough to work out again. I am so so happy!
When I arrived at the office I was bushed. Like totally and absolutely ready to go to bed and stay there. But work was calling and so I followed. Thanks to a big fad mug of black coffee I was capable of keeping my eyes open. Luckily it was lunch time soon. I had some dinner leftovers. Sweet potato “Nachos” with beef sauce and guacamole. I am all up for healthy comfort food!
The afternoon passed slowly and I was a bit tired but managed to do a lot of stuff I despise and always always procrastinate. Like decluttering my inbox and my desk and taking care of the applications for this new mentoring year. I am going to have around 50 face-to-face interviews within the next 4 weeks. It’s a lot but I quite enjoy interviewing. The only downside was when my assistant managed to invite 5 women I actually didn’t even want to interview as they don’t fit to the program. Okay so 5 more, doesn’t really matter anymore, does it?
On my way back home I took care of our office empties and went grocery shopping for our dinner and tomorrow’s lunch! I bought a lot!!! Okay not everything will be eaten within two days.
I was so hungry when I came home I was almost shaking. But nothing a quick sugar rush provided by my second favorite chocolate bar couldn’t fix.
I spend the evening food prepping and when Stefan came home from his soccer practice we had dinner together. A giant sandwich with pesto, cheese, grilled bell pepper lettuce and bacon.
And I might have had a Mimosa whilst cooking!
Today I am so sore! I hate to pause for 3 weeks because I swear I feel every single day now! But tonight I go again and I am already looking forward 🙂
Have a great Wednesday, friends!
