Monday morning, back at the office after a weekend of way to little sleep! And I feel surprisingly fresh and full of drive. Haha let’s see how long that lasts 😉
Birthday week officially came to an end yesterday. I spend the day a little odd as the majority on my time was consumed by cleaning up the remains of my birthday party and nursing the aftermath. Mines were less severe than Stefan’s. But nothing a cup of tea and a few hours of sleep couldn’t fix.
My first meal yesterday was some birthday cake around 4pm. American Cheese with Blueberry <3
Later I met the family for dinner but I was really happy to be at home at 9.30 pm and cuddle up in the PJs on my sofa watching TV and let myself drift to sleep at a sensible time.
I can’t say much about my party. Before my guests arrived my sister and I tried to take a selfie for 35 minutes. We got one that we both approved of. I wonder we we’re both not capable of taking a selfie. Maybe it’s a physical thing and our arms are just too short?
I didn’t go for a fancy-schmancy party I just wanted to hang out with friends, have fun, drink too much and be a bit reckless at a place where you can’t cause too much trouble.
So there was pizza and Moscow Mule, there was a piñata and golden glitter confetti cannons, there are embarrassing videos of me with said piñata and actually I didn’t speak much to any of my guests as I was so busy dancing. And when I say I was dancing you should better picture a spastic, not at all rhythmic, mix of jerking, twitching, twerking…. you know what I mean.
It was like 5 people dancing and I was one of them always with my sister and cousin. I hope my guests had fun too, I certainly can’t complain. Oh yeah and my 120 lbs friend broke a table 😀 I wonder how much that will cost me?
Oh and you don’t get to see any pictures as there were none taken in favor of capturing every precious moment on video. And when you remember what I said about me dancing you know why I don’t gonna show you these either 😉
But I am going to show you what wonderful things my family and friends gave me for my birthday!
My lovely husband who finally arranged hisself with having an infantile 30-year-old wife gave me the bee-doo Minion I wanted so much 😀 I call him Bee-Doo but I think his real name is Stuart.
My wonderful friends – God bless them – nourished my current Harry Potter mania with a Gryffindor Scarf and a Harry Potter wand remote control. Haha yes I am a nerd. A big fat nerd and I know it 😀
And my sister and a good friend tattooed me with a “voucher” for a tattoo. Nice idea. And they even honored my love for pigs <3
I definitely had a blast and I am glad I partied like a teenager – haven’t done that in years!
Now I am going to screen applications for our next mentoring year commencing in April. That means mainly interviewing for a few weeks now. Yay, my favorite part of starting a new round.
Have a good start to the week!
