Hands down my WIAW posts are maybe the ones I enjoy the most. I love to arrange my food prettily, I love to take nice pictures and I love to post them on Wednesday mornings just because it reminds me how awesome food is (haha as if I needed a reminder). I always found the idea behind Jenn’s link-up party wonderful and I really hope she’ll decide to continue it at some point. But no matter what I’ll keep posting WIAW posts just because it’s fun and I love them!
Monday was a good day food wise. I went to the office and made a little detour to the supermarket on my way because I craved fresh fruit and a smoothie like crazy. True Fruits green smoothie it was for breakfast!
As I already mentioned on Monday I feel a strong need to add more veggies and salads to my diet again and so I took the remains of sunday’s lunch to work. A big green salad with cucumber, bell pepper, tomato, avocado and humus. Perfect! Totally satisfied all the cravings!
As a snack I munched on some fruit over the course of the whole day. I couldn’t resist to buy those absolutely overpriced strawberries and they tasted better than expected yet not entirely as they should. If you wonder how they should taste I can only describe it as kissed by the sun! And I love these baby bananas!
Have I mentioned that this is my birthday week? Yes, only 3 days left of my 20s…. yeah I am cool with that now. But part of my 30before30 list was to make a roast. And if not now then never. So I just tried it. I followed a recipe from the internet but I am glad that I checked on the meat myself as if I had just followed the instructions I’d rather had ended up with a sole of a shoe than a medium-rare roast. In the end I cut the time by 1h!
But luckily it still turned out medium-ish. And in my eyes pretty good for a first-timer! I served it with baked potatoes and “sour cream”. I cringe at Stefan’s voice in my head telling me that was not sour creme!!!! Yeah I agree 😉 I topped the potatoes with a soy yoghurt, herb dip. Yummy nonetheless!
Oh yeah and then we killed a chocolate santa clause but there is no picture because everything happened so fast 😉
Today I am deliberating to go to Crossfit. I am feeling way better, almost on top of the world but I definitely don’t want to rush into a tough workout when I am not 100% healthy. I fear to get sick again way too much!
Now you have a great Wednesday, friends!
