Hello Monday, Happy New Year 2015! The last week definitely was a whirlwind. And now I’m sick. All nasty with a cold and a lot of sneezing and coughing. Bäääh! I am also running a bit of a temperature so please bear with me when my thought are not totally coherent and this post is a bit of a mess. Nevertheless we have a lot to catch up as we haven’t talked properly since Christmas.
My Christmas break started wonderful with a visit in one of my favorite Munich spots for breakfast. Stefan and I enjoyed a fantastic morning in the sun with steaming coffee and a Pancake crusted French Toast filled with Nutella. I didn’t manage to eat up 😮
And then it was already Christmas. Christmas was the typical combination of a holy lot of family and a holy lot of food. It was good to see all the beloved ones and spend quality time with the kids, my brothers and sisters, my parents and uncles, aunts and cousins – related or related by marriage who cares. It was surprisingly relaxing though we didn’t see much of our home for three days in a row.
For Christmas I got a lot of workout stuff. Weightlifting shoes, kettlebells and a new gym bag matching to a pair of my shoes. Just perfect!
My aunt is a wonderful baker and so she made two of my breakfasts look like this 🙂
But after all the sweets I was happy to have leftovers to brunch something like this the next days.
And then on Sunday after Christmas we went to London to spend New Year’s Eve and relax a few days (cough cough) in my favorite city on this continent.
This time we didn’t go alone but had 4 friends with us. We walked an awful lot and spend a significant amount of time in some pubs having Burger and other treats. You’re going to get to see my London food this Wednesday 🙂
We visited the Kensington Town House with Rooftop Terrace we’ll buy as soon as we get insanely rich and I finally purchased my wand 🙂 Swish and flick….
And I also almost ticked off another 30 before 30 thing by plastering a kiss on Paddington’s nose which looks a bit like a pig’s snout. But I am going to try to make this pig kissing reality soon.
New Year’s Eve was a blast. I can’t say anything else. I doubt that I laughed more any other NYE ever. It wasn’t special in any fancy way we just hung out at this pub (we clearly lowered the average age at this party) and had fun.
As this was a James Bond Party we got some Martini and a Rib Eye Steak and they had some stuff to masquerade. We certainly lived up to any intention the hosts had.
And of course we shot an awful lot of photos. Some good ones and a lot of almost embarrassing ones. But I am not shy to share some of those too 😉
2014 ended exactly as it had been all way through – awesome! Let’s hope 2015 will be a lot like 2014! Then I won’t have anything to complain about!
Have a good start to the week lovelies! I am looking forward to an awesome 2015 with you together!
