Oh blissful morning when I can sit a little longer on my couch and go to work a little later. The last event of this Mentoring Year happened yesterday evening and apart from some emails and a few evaluation sheets I am done. What a great feeling. Calm Christmas time oh how much do I love thee!!!
Let’s drink all the spiced teas and mulled wines, eat all the gingerbread and christmas cookies, let’s sing (or in my case screech) all the christmas songs and first and foremost let’s
Yes I am in a full-blown Christmas mood already. Maybe I am a bit demanding? Maybe but only a bit 😉 But now back to yesterday…
As I knew I had to work late I planned to go to a Crossfit WOD in the morning but unfortunately I woke up with a sore throat and had to cancel. So I spend some time at home in the morning drinking coffee and whipping up an epic Chocolate Chip Christmas Mug Cake. It’s a tit bake variation and totally yummy. It was great to have some time in the morning to just relax and watch TV. Much needed after my short weekend.
As I came home pretty late on Monday I had no time to make lunch for Tuesday. My organic supermarket of choice provided me with my usual go to lunch. Tofu Burger and some carrots a side.Ddoesn’t this look like a scary duck?
I spend the afternoon preparing my workshop, meeting a few students who briefed me on a talk I have to give in two weeks and then interviewing. 12 done 5 to go! I was ravenous when I was done and inhaled an apple, a clementine and some chocolate.
The workshop went very well and I was back home at 10 pm. Luckily Stefan had made dinner for us. Roasted butternut and hokkaido squash with Bolognese sauce. That’s it! Just a typical day in the unpredictable work life in my world. I like it and I wouldn’t want to have it any other way.
As always many thanks to Jenn for hosting the food fun!
So today I start a little later. Bliss! And then there’s another interview…. Have a great Wednesday! Only two more days to go! (I still say this every Wednesday and don’t intend to stop :-D)
