It’s already the fourth week of catching up together. Can’t believe how fast the times flies. But I certainly got used to embracing my Monday mornings rather than dreading them.
Today the catch up will be short and sweet as I have to go to Munich for a symposium about gender mainstreaming in organizations. I am looking forward to it as it’s almost completely in English and I literally leap eagerly at any opportunity to actually talk in English 🙂
Okay I have 10 minutes. Buckle up, ready to take off.
Let’s start with the social part…
On Thursday evening Stefan and I went on a date. Again we chose o go to that Irish Pub in Munich right next to Frauenkirche. We had a really nice evening together. We shared a basked of fried goodies and finished off with a piece of Pumpkin and Strawberry Crumble. Really good stuff 🙂
On Friday things got wicked. We went to a Halloween Party. It was a funny evening and I can’t really say anything further about it. It was nice to catch up with a few of our friends.
On Saturday we didn’t really know what to do as it was a public holiday and all our usual Saturday activities were impossible due to the closed shops. Yes in Germany all shops are closed on holidays and even on Sundays. It’s annoying! Stefan’s sister is about to move next weekend and she gladly offered to borrow us our little niece of 6 month for a walk while they were packing. So we walked through Munich with the little one for about 2,5 hours including a stop at Starbucks. After 30 minutes she didn’t like the stroller anymore and I ended up carrying her for abaout 1,5 h. It was a beautiful fall afternoon and it was really nice to spend some time with the little bug.
Yesterday evening we went to a Birthday dinner with close friends of us. One good thing about getting oder is that everyone is glad when those kinds of events don’t last until the dawn of time. We were back home at 10 pm and happy about it!
Let’s move onto the work part…
Finally I got my new computer!!!!Noe I just have to get through the not so fun technic stuff and then I can finally start working on my thesis. Procrastination finally has to end!
And then there’s the workout part…
Next to my usual soccer and crossfit shenanigans we went on a run in the sun. So beautiful! But running was pure punishment! I am not sure if I should really sign up for that half.
Last but obviously not least, let’s move onto food!!!
Last week I had extraordinary success with my Hazelnut & Chocolate Granola Bars which I posted here.
Oh yeah sweet start of the week.I need to make myself presentable now. It takes way longer these days, you know! A great thing about having to go to Munich today? Getting a Starbucks fix 😀
Have a nice day!
