Oh sweet Monday morning – how nice to have you back! (You see I am using reverse psychology here – my new mantra: conciliate with what you can’t change. Instead of fighting it I’ll embrace it now!) So okay Monday my dear, let’s get us a cuppa coffee and catch up. I feel there’s a new tradition forming here. You’re all kindly invited to join Monday and me. Brew yourself a mug of hot dark deliciousness or maybe some tea. We’re not discriminating here. Make yourself comfortable, sit down, get rid of your shoes, take up a yoga position or bend down in a deep squat – whatever you need to feel good.
Everyone ready? Okay great! Let’s catch up!
I really try to remember what happened last week before the weekend but nothing comes to my mind that’s worth sharing. I finally made a step into getting a bit more serious with Crossfit but I already told you about that the other day. Next to tackling more workouts I think I need to watch my food again. I had such a great experience with eating Paleo before the summer that I think I already know the answer to the pondering question after my feel good diet.
So after discovering that cauliflower isn’t that bad at all I tried the next step and made some cauliflower pizza crust. Looks good doesn’t it? Well tasted horrible – it made me gag. I ate just the topping aka the cheese and rocket and trashed the crust. FAIL! This was by the way the second time in one week that my recipe experimenting failed miserably. Do I loose my magic spoon?
The good stuff last week really began on Friday. We went to our friend’s house for dinner. As the weather was quite nice we took our chances and fired up the grill. It was so nice to sit outside and there was no need to go indoors for the whole evening. I brought a lovely (first trial) Paleo Eggplant Hummus. This is definitely a keeper. I will cook, shoot and share soon!
On Saturday Stefan and I went on a whole day date. After running some errands in the morning we went to Munich. First we stopped at Dean& David – a healthy “fast food” restaurant. We shared a salad and a Chicken Tikka Curry.
Then we went into the English Garden and went for a walk. It was really nice and I will show you some pictures later this week. Then we went for a little shopping spree but neither of us was really in the mood for crazy fitting room and cashier lines so we skipped it and went for a drink and food. To make up to the pizza crust disaster and to celebrate my last pizza for a while – as Paleo pizza obviously doesn’t to go to plan – we hit Oh Julia. One of our favorites lately.
Sunday happened to be one of these days where you’re just plain lazy and watch TV. A nap or two where also part of the game. But in the end of the day we had to change our sweat pants and hoodies for something more appropriate and even brush our hairs. Because we had tickets for THE FRAY <3
It was such a cool concert. The live performance was outstanding. Some songs sounded even better than recorded. Here you can get some I reckon not so legal impressions of the evening.
Great weekend if you ask me!
Now tell me something about you!
This feels already way better. That was actually really nice! Hope to see you all again next week.
Have a nice day!
