I am in a great mood. I need to share this as I feel I am a lot too whiney on this blog lately. Maybe it’s catching. Let’s try it out out loud.
1. Apple Love
Okay lovelies, I have a pop quiz for you:
Q: What’s better than buying a box of apples at the farmer’s market? ______________________________________
A: Getting a box of organic apples from a friend’s grandparent’s garden for free!
I am so lucky that my awesome friend and co-worker Ulrike shared here yummy apples with me. Can’t wait to cook, bake and nosh them plain. I already had two today and they are awesome. And so beautiful! Last week I was the lucky receiver of a bag of plums and today this. A praise for people who still grow their own food!
2. Crossfit Musings
I realized that I haven’t talked about crossfit much lately. Hell no, how could this happen? It is rumoured that we crossfitters don’t talk about anything but crossfit!
True story 😉
So how’s crossfit going lately? At the moment my legs are wobbly, my arms are feeble and I feel better that I did in the last two weeks. I am totally destroyed after a heavy lifting back squat set yesterday and a metcon workout this morning including a few minutes max. effort airbike and heavy carries. But strangely I am ridiculously happy. That’s why I expanded my contract to go three times a week from today on. YAY 🙂
3. Trying new things
Yesterday I decided it was high time to face my fear and get over my stupid aversion of cauliflower. And how can you do this best? Right. Eat your fears 😉
So for lunch today I made a Thai Curry with Cauliflower Rice. It’s damn good! How could I neglect this veggie so entirely over the last 29 years? Lesson learned. Challenge your dislikes from time to time!!! Tonight I’ll try cauliflower pizza crust.
4. Catching up
Do you remember my Fall Want-do list from last year? Well I do. At least there was a tiny little voice in the back of my head that reminded me that there were things I wanted to do last year but didn’t. After all I can’t deny a little OCD when it comes to working-off lists. So I am going to make the last two points happen this Saturday.
Stefan and I plan to run some errands in Munich on Saturday and then we want to have a lunch picnic followed by a long fall walk in the English Garden.
I am in a unknowen and strange situation right now. To cut it short: I have no book I want to read at the moment. That’s because my never-ending stash of unread books has come to an end and there is nothing yet that had caught my attention. Books and I have a special kind of relationship. It’s almost always love at first sight. And they make me happy! So please help me out and introduce me to my next book crush and make me happy.
What book do you read at the moment? Which one would you recommend?
Do you have any delicious apple recipes to share with me? I am thankful for any inspiration!
Have a nice Thursday my friends. The weekend is near and let’s commit to make it a good one 🙂
