happy Thursday! Let’s jump right into some thinking. Out loud obviously as it’s lovely Amanda’s day of hosting all our musings, ramblings and rats If you want to learn more about the idea behind the link-up just click here
1. Taking a sicky
I needed to stay at home today. I also miss a birthday party and a Crossfit class today. I hate being thwart by something pointless like a virus. The good thing is though that I have the perfect excuse to cuddle up on my couch and read all day.
2. Tea Time
Totally stolen by Miss Polkadot but I need to share my piece of Yogi Wisdom today. It says: Fall in love with your grace! I love it. Though in my case it should also say: Don’t lie to yourself for too long! Sadly I am anything BUT graceful!
3. Foggy Mornings
Speaking of foggy mornings, that’s what it looked like from my kitchen window this morning. I don’t have the nicest view but you surely get what I am referring to 😉
4. Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere…
I am such a cliché. As soon as they are back in stock I go totally gaga about all kinds of pumpkins and squash. To my defense here in Germany we only get a few weeks of good pumpkins a year so you have to make sure to get your fix.
At the moment I am in love with Jenn’s Cheesy Pesto Chicken Lasagna Stuffed Spaghetti Squash. Not as pretty as hers but the taste is amazing. And luckily for me today I have leftovers for today’s lunch
Have I ever mentioned that I am the Queen of Procrastination? At the moment I am procrastinating (without any specific order)
- Washing the car
- Vacuuming the car
- Replying to a really important email and emailing a few friends
- Getting dressed
Luckily I have the excuse of being sick so I don’t have to have a bad conscience about it. See how epic my skills are? I even procrastinate my remorse 😛
6. New tunes in my head
I am totally hooked by this song lately. It’s in my mind all the time!
7. The little Harry Potter girl
And have you seen to which highs the little Harry Potter girls – as she’s casually calling herself – has risen lately. I am really deeply impressed by that speech she gave. Not only her eloquence but mainly how she addressed that topic and her beliefs. It’s rare in this context but I totally second every word 100%!
8. Kitchen whining
I need to rearrange and declutter my kitchen. Maybe this should be #1 of my list of things I procrastinate. Any inspiration, tips or motivation for me? It looks horrible and it’s bugging me more lately. Seriously I am playing Tetris with my kitchen supplies for ages now!
9. Testing Cake Recipes
I am thinking about making my own version of raw vegan cake. I really really liked the Blueberry Lime one I made last week but it’s after all a recipe that tastes like summer. So I am toying around with some flavours and combinations. Maybe I make it a Fig and Orange Cheesecake or does Pear and Cinnamon Cheesecake sound better? And please don’t mention pumpkin spice now. There has to be a line uncrossed! Even it’s a cheesecake line!
Okay guys I am drinking some tea now and get back to my novel. Some things to make me happy on that gloomy Thursday.
Which cake recipe should I test first?
Do you have a particular organization in your kitchen or are you playing Tetris like me?
