happy Thursday! It’s late, the conference is over, I am back at home. I feel a bit crazy after the long drive. So I better just start thinking out loud! Thanks Amanda for hosting 🙂 If you want to learn more about the idea behind the link-up just click here
1. One night away
Isn’t it ridiculous how much stuff you need when you go away for just one night? I have a gym bag for my clothes and toiletries, my laptop bag, my cooler and my “purse”. I am packed like a mule and everything is necessary!
Isn’t it funny that when you book a room for two you sometimes have problems to fit in two people and two bags. But every time I book a single room I have at least two beds and everything is spacious. This time I had even three beds 😀
3. Though checking thrice…
… I forgot something important at home. My blouses! I planned to take them with the hangers and didn’t put them in the bag to prevent crinkles. They are still hanging on my door now. I could kick myself for forgetting them. Luckily I have a plain black t-shirt with me. Okay under a blazer but still…
4. Wireless – offline…
My laptop is breaking down. First the battery went bust, now I can’t connect with the internet anymore. BUMMER!!!! I need a new one much faster than I thought. It’s not really nice when you’re sitting in a hotel room and you wanted to catch up with some work and can’t connect to your email account or any other files. Noooooooo!!!!!! Ah and did I mention that the wireless password was for only one device and now it’s blocked though it’s not working???
5. Little Helper
I am so glad I packed this! I think in retrospective it wasn’t the smartest move to pack my clothes in a gym bag. Luckily this magic stuff refreshed my clothes.
6. Hitting the roads
I was not looking forward to driving back home after the conference. The drive up took me 8 h including a 20 minute rest at a McDonald where I couldn’t bring myself to eat anything and ended up with not more than a cup of black coffee. When I drive such a long way all alone I always make sure to have an interesting audio book and try to be well caffeinated. As I was not leaving there before 4.30 pm you can do the math yourself and work out when I’ll be at home. And I hate driving in the dark. I needed a holy lot of coffee and singing to keep me awake 😛
7. Caving in
And then at 8.30 pm after 3 h without any food source I gave in and this happened
and only 3,54 nano seconds later my tablet looked like this
I am sleeping for a long time now and then more caffeine will sort me out then.
Have a lovely
Thursday Friday guys!
