Happy Wednesday and happy WIAW! I am sitting on my couch, sipping coffee. I have to work a little from home today and then later I am going to Munich. Today’s PhD colloquium again and I can’t say that I want to go there. Unfortunately I checked the schedule and I know that the topics today will be boring for me. Nevertheless you sometimes benefit even from speeches you didn’t anticipate to be helpful. So I am going. Plus I am going to meet my fellow PhD candidate. Kristina for a coffee. That’s always nice 🙂
Yesterday was different from anticipated.
- I thought the weather would be nice but it wasn’t. It was raining buckets! My assistant even decided to hang out at the office for another hour after work to prevent getting soaked up totally.
- I wanted to go to Crossfit in the morning but the morning WOD was cancelled. And I couldn’t go to any evening WOD. BUMMER!
- As I was a bad meal planner I was stuck with breakfast food for the whole day. Kind of nice but I was fed up with the sweet flavor in the afternoon.
But let’s start in the morning…
For breakfast I had my frothy Coconut Protein Frappuccino in the office. I took advantage of bein in the office so early and got all my emails and paperwork done within the first hour after arriving! Can I hear a round of applause please 😉
For lunch I had a Tit Bake which is usually a typical breakfast food of mine. But as my fridge was empty besides a few eggs it was an easy and quick lunch fix.
As a dessert I had some leftover fruit from the last workshop and a bit of chocolate along with a cup of coffee.
I left the office around 5pm and went to a little shop around the corner to pick up some stuff for Stefan’s birthday my sister is going to give him. I hid the stuff in the car and went to pick him up. I dropped him off at his soccer club and then I went food shopping. When I came home around 7pm I was almost faint of hunger. And I needed something salty. So I quickly shoved a grilled cheese sandwich into my mouth. And then some chocolate 😀
After my snack I started to cook. I had a rough idea of what I wanted to make and our dinner turned out to be a mixed salad with rocket, tomatoes, mixed bell pepper and red lentils. And as an extra I coated some turkey breast pieces with sesame seeds. It was really good. If it hadn’t taken me two hours in the kitchen I would totally make this more often.
What’s your favorite not-breakfast breakfast food?
Do you always need something salty after sweet/ sweet after salty like me?
Sesame seed covered meat – yay or nay?
Okay it’s Tit Bake time now! Happy Wednesday Bloggie friends! Have a great day! 🙂
And many thanks to lovely Jenn, for hosting this fantastic link-up!
