my head is full, I am confused and I am getting it all out now. I am not in the right mindset for explaining myself or going into detail about what’s going on at the moment so I better get rid of some nonsense by Thinking out Loud. Thanks Amanda for hosting this link-up party If you want to learn more about the idea behind the link-up just click here
1. Binge-Watching PLL
Yesterday season 3 of PLL finally arrived Yes it’s brand-new here in Germany so please be kind and don’t spoiler me! I spent my afternoon binge-watching. I felt worn out from work and the stress I’ve been under over the last few weeks. So this was absolutely needed! It felt so good to just sit on the couch, eat grilled cheese sandwiches and fresh fruit and get involved into a totally different reality! I really just needed some time unplugged from my own reality and PLL never fails to provide some distraction.
2. Summer Drinks
Another new arrival this week was summer. We’re finally high up in the 20°C and that screams of a new summer drink. So what do we all love? 1. protein shakes and 2. coffee. So why not combine both? This recipe trying was a bull’s-eye. Come back here tomorrow for my epic recipe of <3 Coconut Protein Frappuccino <3 Random information – it was gone very fast 😉
3. Paradise Beach
Do you remember that buzzfeed suggested last week that I should run away to a Paradise Beach? This week we coincidentally booked a 5 night stay in a small resort called Paradise Shores This is supposed to be the relaxing part of our trip and I can’t wait to go there. 5 days of relaxing, hiking, swimming, exploring the surroundings, reading, eating, drinking and just appreciating the presence of each other.
4. Quality time with my Sister
Yesterday morning my sister and I went to a small Irish Pub for breakfast. It was amazing! It’s lovely furnished and the food was delicious. The staff is absolutely nice and friendly and it was totally cozy. Spending time with my sister was really much-needed. We hadn’t seen each other alone in quite some time and catching up properly and talking some concerns off my chest felt good. For some things there’s nobody better than your sister. She couldn’t really help me but talking about everything and getting per perspective on things was enough for the moment.
5. Trying new things
I have been talking a lot about nutrition, embracing my cravings and finding my balance, listening to my body… I still absolutely believe in all of this. But lately I have done a lot of research with regards to my CIBD and other issues I have mainly because of my medication like bad hair and skin, my mood swings and restlessness. New research has shown that apparently a group of patients had shown great improvement by following a grain, sugar and dairy free diet. So at the moment I am toying with the idea of giving this a shot. But further research is needed prior to jumping into anything. I really need a sustainable plan and a better idea of possible substitutes for certain food sources. Hello, can you imagine me without cheese???
As practically everyone in the HLB Community seems to read It Starts with Food or even tried the Whole30 I decided to get my own idea of the whole concept behind. At the moment I have a feeling that this concept might fit the suggested diet but I first have to grasp the whole paleo thing. I am not sure if I will try the Whole30 but maybe I can get some inspiration.
Do you have summer holiday plans?
What is your opinion about the Whole30 and a paleo style diet?
Wish you a very happy Thursday Only one day to go!!!! And don’t forget to check out more witty randomness over there.
