Happy Wednesday and happy WIAW! Today I am working from home again as our new couch and wardrobe are due to being delivered. So I am sitting on the old couch with a cup of coffee now and think of all the deliciousness I stuffed my face with yesterday.
When I arrived at the office I brewed a cup of coffee and got me my breakfast which I enjoyed whilst catching up on some blog reading, answering e-mails and getting prepared for my workshop in the evening. For breakfast I had oats with mixed seeds and a soy yoghurt/ soy milk mixture. The oats were already soaked up nicely and the crunchiness of the seeds balanced the texture out lovely. Plus it was the perfect fuel for my 1:1 Crossfit on-ramp.
I left my office around 10 am and drove to the gym. For the next 2 h my coach Jaz helped me to understand and carry out all the basic moves and exercises. We did Lunges, Sit-ups, Push-ups, Pull-ups (surely going to be my Nemesis!), Box-Jumps, lots of Kettlebell and Barbell exercises as deadlifts and Press-ups and a holy lot of different Squats. Man my upper back and arms are sore today! But I love this sore badass feeling!
I went back to the office and couldn’t hurry enough to heat my lunch. I was so hungry! Luckily it was something really yummy! Chili con Carne and cheese over roasted pumpkin. Heaven! But I guess I would have loved everything at the moment!
I spend the afternoon with my two nice colleagues bent over my colleague’s dissertation going through every single chapter and giving advice. It was really exhausting and energy-consuming but it was fun at the same time. I love the reasearch part of my job and that was a nice new task for a change. Whilst going through her dissertation I had my afternoon snack of roasted pumpkin and hummus! Yum! And there were some unpictured vegan and gluten-free chocolate whole grain cookies along my coffee. That’s quite a long name for such small cookies 😀
I had a late workshop and couldn’t leave until 7.30 pm. We went home and enjoyed a hot & spicy chickpeas and bell pepper wrap with more hummus and a cheese sandwich. In favor of the International No Diet Day we finished off strong with cookies and coconut ice cream! So good! That’s what I call a Happy WIAW!
Now I keep on waiting for the delivery guys and later on I will go to the groceries and to soccer practice tonight. Today it’s grey and rainy outside and the prospects of leaving my sofa isn’t at all appealing. But as we ran out of fresh food it’s so necessary to go :-/
Soreness – love it or hate it?
How did you embrace the International No Diet Day?
A second coffee is calling my name now. Happy Wednesday Bloggie friends! Have a great day! 🙂
And many thanks to lovely Jenn, for hosting this fantastic link-up!
