1. Easter Weekend
With the last weekend bein anything but relaxing I am more than happy and relieved that we have a very long weekend lying in front of us with 4 days off! We’re going to spend time with both our families and some friends. I don’t have an easter present for Stefan yet. I’m running late this year. I don’t want to buy too many sweets as his mother is going to overdo it like every year and for sure will spoil him rotten. I know that he has nothing for me either and that he’s struggling with finding something but I love the whole hide and seek thing so much that I don’t want to give up on it! And whilst musing about gift options for Stefan I realize I forgot to get something for the kids!!!! Oh no – SHIT!!!!!
2. Pedometer Bracelet vs. Heart Rate Monitor
Has anybody any experience with the Garmin Vivofit? A friend’s friend has a new one which he sells and my friend asked if I wanted to buy it. It’s really cheap so if I ever feel the need for a pedometer bracelet I should take that chance. But I am not sure if it’s really a benefit for me. I already have a heart rate monitor. Any recommendations?
3. In need of a new Badass Challenge
Now that I completed my first Half-Marathon (if you haven’t read about it yet – shame on you! No just kidding! You can find the recap here) I am a bit lost in terms of fitness goals. I obviously need a new challenge – something exciting! I would love to do a kickboxing class but I can’t find one that suits my already pretty full schedule. I’m not one for Pilates or Yoga. Bikram yoga would be fun but the studios are far to far away from home or work. I am tempted to finally give Cross Fit a try. I love this badass feeling! Badass with a nice ass 😉
There’s a box only 10 min from work and the schedule looks like I could master 1-2 workouts per week. It would be nice for a change to do a workout in the morning. There’s a possibility to go for a free class to try it. Maybe I’ll do that next week And for once this would be a sport for which I do not need new sports attire 😉 Stefan will be delighted!
4. Spring Fling
Pssssst don’t tell Stefan but I am having a spring fling. Asparagus! I can’t get enough of it!Yesterday I made two fantastic meals out of a bunch of my favorite green veggie. I marinated the asparagus in garlic, olive oil, salt and lemon and used the first half as a topping for my favorite soft Focaccia (recipe on the blog tomorrow) and roasted the other half in a frying pan as an afternoon snack. It was so good I have no words! The perfect spring food
I almost missed out on the chance to get my hands on tickets for The Fray! But I saw a friend posting that she’s going and without giving it much thought got some tickets for us! Now we’re going to see them live on stage in Munich! Absolutely great! It’s really weird but I actually only once was on a concert. This was back in the 90’s when I was 12 and my father took me to see Die Toten Hosen, a German punk rock band. So this will be kind of new to me 😉
Yessss, this will be so great!!!! The much closer at the moment equally great thing is, that I am almost done for today! I’ll leave the office around 1.30 pm in order to get my monthly manicure. I am still thinking about which color I want. Something fresh would be nice.
Wish you a very happy Thursday and a fantastic easter weekend And don’t forget to check out more witty randomness over there.
