apologies for the lack of recipes or decent post today but I have a huge issue to deal with at work. It’s a bit nasty and the law department and other official people like the data protection officer are involved, too. To put it in a nutshell my colleague discovered that a former intern stole some data from our project and published a study with the work my colleague had done for her dissertation. As I said a nasty issue!
It’s not my personal problem but I feel absolutely offended and I would love to drive straight to that guy and kick his ass. My colleague would love to yell at him at least on the telephone but the dean of the faculty told us to remain quiet until they sort out a strategy! Not our prefered way to cope yet we’re bound to go the official way. Besides I am not a violent person by any means. I am actually a little too friendly most of the time. But I have a bit of a temper and speaking of ripping someones head off his shoulders or kicking his ass does wonders with calming me down. The power of imagination 😉 Okay – done with the rant!
Anyways I’ll be off today really early and Stefan and I are heading over to a sports outfitter specialized on runner’s gear in order to pick up some compression socks for the half-marathon training. I really need them when I want to run on the pavement and I reckon running 21 k it won’t hurt him to try them as well. The muscles just feel so much better and I have almost no problems with swelling.
Later on we’ll take care of our big food shopping that we usually do on Saturday mornings. Tomorrow we’ll have other stuff to do so we’re better off finishing it today. Stefan has his soccer practice tomorrow morning and I decided to go on a long run. Much needed! I am so ready to kick my lazy butt and kill some kilometers.
Tomorrow evening I am going out to celebrate my birthday with my friends. I booked a table at a cocktail bar in Munich. And we’ll see what happens then 😉
Tomorrow I am also participating in an International Women’s Day Celebration organised by lovely Jan blogging over at Sprouts n Squats. If you want to learn more about the initiative and how to participate just click on the button below.
And of course to make sure to come back tomorrow and read some inspiration for change from all the wonderful women who participate in this link-up! Thanks Jan for organising this! It’s a lovely idea and I am very much looking forward to it!
Okay, now I have to dash and pick up the husband 😉 I hope you’re all having a fantastic weekend!
