I hope you’re having a great Wednesday I am so damn tired this morning that I really have to make an afford holding my eyes open. I am trusting my coffee to sort me out though. I don’t even fancy any breakfast at the moment. Weird! Well after all I made up for any future cravings last weekend. You can read anything about our London trip here
So as promised I’ll tell you today what I ate on my birthday last Saturday. When I edited the photos for today’s post I couldn’t believe how much I ate on that day Though I could have never tried so many different things if it wasn’t for Stefan. I am a happy girl to have such a great husband who manly ate the other half of everything I wanted
At 5 am and was wide awake. So I rolled around in my bed and waited till 7 am to wake Stefan. We had adopted a little piglet from Disney Store on Thursday and he gave it to me as a gift. I love it Have I ever mentioned that I love pigs?
Then we headed to a nice Starbucks at Notting Hill Gate and I was treated to a cinnamon swirl and a soy latte. Unfortunately I never got a chance to blow out those candles as the air-con was too strong to let me.
I was still a little hungry/ greedy after the half swirl and we picked up a piece of pizza crudo on our way to Portobello Road Market at Arancina. Best pizza in town!
We strolled around the market and picked up a Mexican Roll for later. After about 1 h we took the bus to Marble Arch for a little shopping. The Mexican Roll went history then. Though I have to say that it tastes better warm. So next time I’ll better eat it immediately.
We went for a long walk down Picadilly Circus to Trafalgar Square. Then crossed the River Thames, went left and passed Gabriel’s Wharf, crossed the river again and approached St. Paul’s Cathedral. There we both craved cake, coffee and wi-fi. So there was only one place to go: Starbucks. This time there was no problem with the candle
We took the bus to Tottenham Court Road and walked through Soho down to Picadilly Circus again. We spend and hour at Waterstone’s and bought a few books. Heaven! Then we took another bus to Dorset Square and settled for the evening at The Allsop Arms. First there was a Burger Board But I only managed 2 mini burger and my bucket of fries.
Later when cravings won over stomach we shared a wonderful apple fig crumble. Sorry for the bad picture. It doesn’t do the crumble any justice. Needless to say that the whole day was a blast and I couldn’t have imagined a better day
Now there is my Personal Training and then some cleaning, unpacking and working through my work mails lying in front of me. Yay? Nay? Haven’t decided yet! And I am desperate trying myself in cooking up some tabouleh. I think I have fallen for that suff! Any recipe recommendations?
Happy Wednesday Bloggie friends! Have a great day!
