I hope you’re having a great Wednesday 🙂 I’m already in the middle of packing. I almost forgot to charge my camera. I’m so glad I have a week off now. I really felt I had reached my limits and I need some time away from work. We recharge our mobiles, cameras and all the other stuff like electric toothbrushes everyday but with recharging ourselves we’re quite stinted. I made a first step with bringing back the veggies to my diet and I am already feeling way better. Next thing is some time off. And next week I’ll be the happy little (and energy loaded) bouncy ball I use to be.
So let’s share some veggie love today! Next week I’ll have a plan of mixing up my usual WIAW post by showing you what I ate on my birthday 🙂 Isn’t it a tad weird that I am so much looking forward to my 29th birthday? Though it’s only a creepy little 365 days left until I officially leave my twenty-somethings behind me? Sorry, I am gushing now… okay let’s talk food!
My morning started early and I was horribly tired. I can’t remember much from the morning until I had my first coffee in the car. But I know I drank almost a liter of water as I was really thirsty which is odd for me so early in the morning. When I arrived at the office at approximately 7.30 am I had breakfast. For breakfast I had an iced chocolate protein shake with some extra cacao powder and a banana. It was very yummy. It was one of those bright sunny mornings we’re blessed with here near the alps at the moment and the iced shake in combination with the sun established an instant summer holiday longing.
The shake was good but not at all filling and my stomach told me to feed me immediately by around 11.15 am. Pretty early for lunch but I gladly gave in and re-heated my veggie bowl with cheese. I’m still in love with my IKEA dishware. It still left me a bit hungry.
I ran out of coffee mid-morning so I used my lunch break to get some new. It’s never a good idea to go to the supermarket when you’re hungry. But I needed more food so besides a holy lot of things I did not really need e.g. chocolate covered cherries 😉 I bought the first cottage cheese in month! and some baby carrots to snack on.
I had thrown all the veggies that had been left in my kitchen in my juicer on Sunday. This deep red veggie concoction was the result. I annihilated the last glass yesterday afternoon along my shopping haul 🙂
At 5:45 pm I picked up Stefan from work and brought him to his soccer practice. We were giggly in the car. They are filming for a marketing video at his work today and he is going to be interviewed. I can only say that Stefan in the center of attention is a rare thing to happen. And imagining him being comfortable in front of a camera is just impossible. Poor him!
I had a Power Plate training appointment at 7 pm. Over the course of 6 month I saw the biggest change in my arms. From a weak birdy to a water buffalo. No just kidding. But as much as I like defined arms and as much as I really really wanted them I totally forgot that this doesn’t go without side effects. And one of them is that I can’t wear my neat blazers anymore. My arms are too bulky and I can’t move in them 😛
When I came home I had to talk on the phone to my mum. I’d been MIA for a few days and she had tried to contact me. Then I randomly threw together some stuff from the kitchen. I started with a combination of protein shake and egg whites. I have a weird craving for that combo lately. Then I had an unpictured whole grain bread with cream cheese followed by two vegan bars.
Now I’ll have a smoothie breakfast and then I continue the packing. Some cleaning and organizing is also included today!
