I hope you have a good day! Mine started a little unnerving but ever since I made it to the office I am full back in my wonderful TGI Friday mood!
I am one week into my new year’s goals wich centers around my half marathon training. I realized that running is not the only key to succeed and my< body weight and core muscles is also part of me rocking the road! So let’s see what happened last week…
But first things first! This morning we were two lucky bums landing right behind a slow transporter on our way to work without any chance to overtake. We lost about 10 minutes on our way. Around 1 km away from work there was a huge traffic jam and it took us 40 more minutes including me taking a detour and my hubby walking the last km or so. Due to the delay I was so hungry I was beyond being calm and sensible.
Did you ever experience that phenomenon that in stressful situations car drivers seem to lose common sense and seem to forget all basic traffic rules? Today there was one especially that made my bite my steering wheel!
Luckily I’ve practiced enough patience over the last year that I could hold back onto killing the dumbest probably tired of life car driver in the whole damn world!
He really blocked two turning lanes by driving straight onto the already crowded junction. Then the ample turned red and he blocked the whole traffic! The worst thing was he was totally oblivious/ uninterested in all the other cars around him! If there weren’t so many witnesses I could have ripped off his head. The guy in the car next to mine also darted malignant glances toward him. If looks could kill that guy would’ve had a problem. They once used women’s PMS as a defiance strategy on a murder trial successfully. Do you think a good attorney could use HITT successfully as well? As a mental state of craze? Would be good to know for further head ripping urges!
Okay enough ranting from this one.
I arrived physically well at the office and after eating my banana egg bake I was fine again. I still felt the cortisol rushing through my veins though. That really does no good to me. I have to learn not to fly off the handle so easily. I am an adult – at least I should be. I should have better self-control!

New Body Makeover Challenge – Week 1
Every week you have 21 meals (without snacks) to make a healthy food choice. For every healthy food choice you may color one smiley. So you have 21 smileys to color at max. I was a striver last week and so I was allowed to color 21 smileys. You can see here what I ate on a typical day.
For every day you worked out there’s also a smiley to color. I was a tad lazy and so I only have to color two smileys for exercising. I’ll work on those next week!
My lessons learned from week #1
- The meal plan works for me but I don’t have access to all the necessary ingredients. I always found yummy alternatives though.
- I lost 2kg which is wonderful though I know it’s not fat but mainly water.
- I feel good! Less bloated, more energized!
I’ve already made my goals for week two and I am hopefully living up to my expectations! I have a good feeling about it! In only two hours time I will go back home and start the weekend early. There’s nothing better about Fridays 🙂
