Hello everyone,
It’s Sunday again and I am happy to participate inΒ Arman‘s link-up again.
I really liked last week’s travelling theme. Talking about memorable places is quite easy. To me it’s more difficult to find my place in the world of movies. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy to sit down and watch a movie from time to time and I like going to the cinema every now and then but I am not really a movie person. But I love TV series. Movies tend to bore me. A TV series just has this big advantage of decent character development and long time plots.
But I am not going to be too snobby about movies now because frankly speaking there are of course some unbelievably awesome movies out there (I just can’t remember them at the moment… but I will think about it)
-> What is your favourite Genre of film?
Crime and Action or Thriller – I can’t decide. It has to catch me. I like mystery as well. I hate horror and comedy that goes for the cheap laugh!
-> What is your favourite ever movie?
Again I can never decide. Lately I loved the Hunger Games movies. I can always watch Ocean’s 11 and 13 (I didn’t like 12 that much) I absolutely adored the Pirates of the Caribbean – The curse of the Black Pearl (the sequels were hilarious too but not as good as the first movie)
As a tradition I watch Little Lord Fauntleroy every Christmas Eve morning and Love Actually every 23rd December whilst gift wrapping. So I would count them in as favorites, too!
When I was a teenager I could quote every single line from Clueless! I was so obsessed with that movie. I bet I can still do it!
-> What movie do you think deserves to have never been made?
The Sweetest Thing – Really???? Is this the way modern women wants to be seen? I am not a feminist but this was too much! It targets the cheapest laugh and in my book it wasn’t even funny! But this was just a random pick. There are of course others… Oh I remember Blade Trinity. Or better I am glad I only remember the feeling when it was over: Relief!
-> What movie should be considered a legal sleeping pill?
I fell asleep in the cinema twice. So I’ll count these movies as sleeping pill. I slept through the first (!) 30 minutes of Jack Reacher and through the last 45 minutes of The Pleasure of Your Company. There is one German movie I tried to watch thrice but actually never made it through more than the first 10 minutes. Really bad, huh?
-> If you made a movie, what would it be about?
Food most probably π I love documentaries featuring fat people on their road to a healthier lifestyle. I could picture me making a movie about this.
-> More movie trivia
I can’t watch Braveheart,Β A Perfect WorldΒ or Armageddon as I would be sobbing violently the whole time
My movie taste is quite questionable to my close friends and husband. Though I am closer to 30 than anything else I still love Teenager Movies and can relate embarrassingly well. And I am a Trekkie! I watched all the movies. The last 5 even at the cinema with my Mum.
TMI? Sorry for that π
And here is my Obligatory Selfie π
Absolutely nothing wrong with relating to teenage movies- I sometimes love kids movies haha. We are young at heart π
Love Actually = worst. Too much romance in it!
I totally agree with the romance part – way too much – but hey it’s Christmas in London! Can’t say No to this π
