Happy Hump Day! Today I am staying at home again. Right after publishing this post I will head over to my personal trainer for my power plate session. I needed to cancel yesterday’s workout as I was on my way to Munich to watch the Champions League match between FC Bayern and Manchester City. The first 12 minutes were bomb then the match was a tad boring. Of course a bunless burger, fries and some ciders were involved, too 🙂 As yesterday was too busy (workshop, meeting, workshop, Pub) I decided to make my WIAW post about Monday’s food. Good idea, it was a delicious day 🙂
Thanks Jenn for hosting this wonderful link-up weekly even though she’s so engrossed in her sweet little daughter. I am very impressed how she cooks all these delicious dishes and runs such a wonderful blog whilst nursing a newborn.
But let’s get back to Monday…
We shared a big tumbler of hazelnut coffee in the car and when I arrived at the office I made me a huge batch of banana egg bake. As we currently have extra-large eggs at home. My egg bake really was impressive. I shoved it down in no time and wanted more. I am always like that. When I like something I always need more. I can have it all or nothing. One piece of chocolate simply never is enough. It has to be two ribs at least! Luckily I had nothing else there because I was pretty filled up.
I am snacking a lot on apples lately. A brilliant companion? Almond butter and a cup of coffee. Yes please! For me Monday was a pretty lazy day. I couldn’t bring myself to be productive at all. Maybe I just have to make up for the last weeks of mania!
Ever since I tried this combo for the first time I am dreaming of savory stuffed sweet potatoes! I am not exaggerating. It’s true. My favorite is a hot chili and cheese topping. I love the sweetness of the sweetpotato and the hot chili as a balance. D-I-V-I-N-E!!!!!! I was in the mood for food so I had meal #4 following directly.
I love to pack Yoghurt bowls as a nice afternoon pick me up. Monday I topped some natural soy yoghurt with raisins, chia seed, shredded coconut and dried soy beans. For sweetness I added some agave caramel syrup.
Around 4pm I headed for the supermarket to buy some cookies and fruits for my workshop attendants. I had two unfriendly encounters with rude careless drivers which annoyed the hell out of me. I was shaking with madness. Usually a sign for me needing food. Unfortunately I was not hungry at all and even felt a little sick. I picked up my husband and we went to the big local mall. As I was still close to the next HITT (hunger induced temper tantrum) we hit the coffee shop and I had a giant cappuccino which calmed me instantly. Never underestimate the power of a hot caffeinated beverage 😉 Do you know that? One day something happens and you’re simply laughing it off the next day something similar happens but you could rip off someones head. Sometimes I am a bit unpredictable….
We proceeded with our Christmas Shopping and at 6.30pm we both needed food. He went to a tiny Thai Restaurant at the mall and I had a lovely Red Thai Curry with loads of veggie and chicken breast. It was delicious. I am craving hot and spicy food like crazy lately and this dish absolutely hit the spot. I made it trough all the veggies and meat but I didn’t eat all the rice. It was way too much! Hubby was happy to help me out 🙂
Later I had two unpictured Christmas chocolates and two glasses of sparkling wine. Lately I love to have a glass of whatever booze that comes to my mind in the evening #sorrynotsorry 😉
No I am going to my trainer and then I’ll have some meal prepping to get done. Later on I will of course sneak in some time for all your wonderful WIAW posts! It’s always a pleasure to see so many wonderful dishes! Happy Wednesday Bloggie friends and
