Friday came eventually. This week was a tad strange as it seemed never to get bright outside. Most days passed in twilight. I did not sleep enough last week and the dimness didn’t help much feeling awake. Luckily my workload was bearable and it was okay to let my thoughts stray from time to time. I actually was dreaming about our new sleeping room. But I am too fast now… It’s Friday and so I jump on the bandwagon of the lovely 5 on Friday link-up… For some fantastic blogs please click on the button below
This week I will share with you 5 things I am really looking forward to! And of course I am starting with the sleeping room…

Surprise – our new sleeping room. You can see the office as it is on the photo above. Now that my husband graduated from university a couple of month ago our really spacious and beautiful cut office was no longer in use. At least we only used it as a boxroom. I hated to go upstairs for some time now as nothing in this room matched and it was all chaos! Our current sleeping room is very lovely but small and our office room really is big. Such a waist! So I needed a few weeks to talk sense into my husband and then we finally committed to swap rooms. He was intrigued by the idea of moving upstairs but dreaded to paint the room. We had painted the office dark red when we first moved in but this is certainly not the best color for sleeping. So a paint job had to be done. Luckily my mother recommended a casual acquaintance who is a professional painter. He made an offer for the paint job and we went for it. So Saturday is the day! I am so looking forward to make everything clean and neat. I will show you the outcome once it is presentable.

The first weekend in Advent we’re going to visit my dear friend Kristin in Vienna. I really really love Vienna and I’ve been there many times before with my husband. It was our first travel destination as a couple short after graduating highschool and we loved to come back ever since. The city has its certain charm known as Wiener Schmäh (Viennese snide humour). They say Viennese are rude people but being from Munich I assure you that there is not really a big difference 😉 So far I am looking forward to Schnitzel, strolling around the city, Christmas fairs and of course spending a few days with Kristin.

December the 1st! I don’t feel very well since lately. Don’t get me wrong I am healthier than I’ve been in over 4 years but I am heavier, too. I don’t give so much about the number on the scales but I realize that there a some pants that don’t fit anymore. And some dresses and skirts I don’t really look flattering in! So it is time to take action! I tried to get in a better shape on my own for ages but I relapsed into old habits (eating too little and then bingeing later) again and again. Technically I know what my body needs but I am not motivated enough to pull through on my own. So I subscribed to the 12 Week New Body Makeover on blogilates. Looking forward to a little guidance

And then my favorite holiday is in sight :-D. I absolutely LOVE Christmas. I love the coziness and the lights, I love buying gifts for my dear ones, I love decorating the apartment, buying a christmas tree, baking christmas cookies, singing christmas carols (when nobody listens) and feeling safe and sound. Christmas time always calms me down a little and I feel like I am more settled. On this picture you can see my first own christmas tree. I felt so mature…
No kidding I am not feeling mature at all 😉

Finally – brilliantly – a new trip to London is already scheduled!!!! Yeah I know I’ve been there only a couple of weeks ago. BUT my husband wanted to go too and I told him we could go together soon. So we’ll fly the first weekend in March – conveniently my birthday weekend So much looking forward! Though I had a fabulous time with my friend Kristin being there with my husband is totally different. It’s more like coming home than going on vacation.
You see there is quiet a lot to look forward to in my life. I am always so happy and thankful to have the opportunity to live the life I wish for me. Having a partner, the money and time to make these things happen mean a lot to me. So but till these things happen or better to make the first thing happen I have to hurry now. Work must be done in order to make an early escape from the office. There is still chaos in our “boxroom” and the painter won’t appreciate the furniture still in there tomorrow morning. Putting these 5 things together I realized again that in creating happiness there is always hard work included. Well I happily work my ass of if my life will be full of these precious moments!
I hope you have a lovely weekend and enjoy the days off. It’s so necessary to recharge your batteries from time to time.
