I can’t believe it. Two of the best days of the week join together for me today! Hump Day and Friday!!! No just kidding, of course it’s not Friday but tomorrow is my home office day and Friday is a bank holiday here in Germany. Winner!!!!! After last week’s London food wrap up I am going back to the roots and show you my Tuesday eats. Happy WIAW!!!
Last weeks kick-off workshop really went great though I had two difficult members. Never mind! I can make a friendly face and show patience even though I am irritated to death! At least if I make a big effort. Well I did and I think I could deal with the situation quite professionally and now I have to wait what will happen. At the moment work drains all my energy as I am constantly torn apart between several partys who want me to do something. Though it’s minor most of the time it always has to happen immediately and I am not able to balance my work activities or stick to my personal schedule. That drives me nuts! But it’s a short week and I will have tomorrow to work from home and 3 days left to recover. And yesterday started pleasent …
I really did something shocking for me! I tried a new oatmeal recipe! Last Saturday we played food party again and I bought a huge pomegrante for my hubby’s basked of goods. You don’t know food party yet? Just click here – it’s really funny, promise! Of course we didn’t use it at once and there was some leftover pomegranate in the fridge. So I had vanilla oatmeal with pomegranate drizzled in 4-nuts butter. So good! I need to get my fingers on another pomegranate soon!
When I arrived at the office I needed a cup of coffee – as always. I had some tangerines left from last week’s worshop and I enjoyed one with my coffee. Tangerines always make me feel a little christmassy. Plus the weather wasn’t too good. Not cold at all but it was dark and greyish outside. Perfect for a cozy coffee break in between the madness.
My latest craze is toast! This is something I usually eat when I am really sick but lately I crave it like crazy. I am going with a organic whole wheat spelt alternative to match my dietary needs. One of my favorites is peanut butter and banana. Oh meal #3 was my kind of meal. I really try to eat more protein and less carbs but I love carb loaded foods so much! It’s much more satisfying than protein based food. At least I try to stick to complex carbs most of the time.
A little later I also had a cup of cottage cheese and some cherry tomatoes at the side. I’m not going to abandon my signature meal 😉
My afternoon was a bit busy. Yet not work related this time. I picked up my hubby around 6pm and dropped him of at the soccer club where he had to attend a coach meeting. I went to my personal power plate training session and headed home straight after it. I hit the kitchen and made some dough for my Halloween Cookies! YAY Another goal almost accomplished.
I was a bit ravenous when I came home from my workout session and that’s alwasy a really dangerous time for me. I am very prone to over-snack between coming home and having supper. Yesterday some coconut water, trail mix and 2 lemon cookies my mom-in-law had made for me fell victim. Sometimes I settle into a full binge but yesterday I kept controll of myself. Luckily even when I am binging I am stuffing my face with healthy food like fruits, whole wheat bread and nuts. I keep the appartment a candy free area and make my husband to hide his stock. It’s better for me that way. Finally supper was ready to eat and we had some taccoless enchiladas again. It basically spicy veggies with cheese but taccoless enchiladas sounds better
This afternoon my first (of 12!) small group workshop starts and I am still working on the concept. Luckily I have 6 hours left 😉 I am pretty curious about the workshops and the program members. I already know them from the interviews but it’s always so different to see them as part of a group. Tomorrow is Halloween and I still haven’t got a costume. I am so bad at this. And I don’t want to spend too much money. Any ideas?
