it’s HUMP DAY!!!! The week is half over and I have an amazing day lying in front of me. Or rather 2 days I suppose. Today I have an appointment at a small consulting agency in Munich for 2 hours and after that I have the afternoon off. YAY! I repeat Y*A*Y!!!!! And tomorrow will be my home office day so I can sleep a little longer and don’t have to change into appropriate clothes whilst working. One of the best things about my job!
Anbother great thing about Hump Day? It’s WIAW!!! My favorite blogging day of the week. I love all your food posts! Thanks Jenn as always for hosting this!
Some very yummy things were included in yesterday’s meals. But tell me what you think 🙂
I had a pretty busy weekend and didn’t come home from work/ soccer practice till very late and all the stores were already closed. So I had to work with what was in my kitchen stock. But I think I did pretty good under these circumstances.
I’ve analyzed my food for a few weeks now and I am still not successful in eating the right portions of carbs, protein and fat for my body. I need to cut down on carbs a little and I need to top up my protein intake a lot. My fat intake is okay most days. Sometimes I eat too many nuts and I get a little too much but I don’t care. I almost hit my target more or less all the time. And now I try to include more protein to my meals. Starting right in the morning.
Breakfast was my usual bowl of oatmeal, topped with raspberry, a few almonds and hazelnut butter. This time I made vanilla oats. Means I included 1/3 scoop of vanilla blast rice protein and added a sprinkel of real vanilla to balance the flavor. Yummy! There were loads of raspberries under the surface too 🙂
Last week I bought this lovely teaset. I love fall for the return of my hot tea cravings. I had several cups of “Happy Tea”
For meal #3 I took a few Mixed Bean Burgers out of the freezer and had them with a salad and my hubby’s honey mustard dressing. Man – this was delicious! And I was stuffed afterwards! There burgers are so filling!
I think snack time is a good option for protein based food. So I started with a protein shake. It consists of 2/3 scoop of vanilla blast rice protein, 1/2 banana, 1tbs cinnamon and water. The protein powder is simply too sweet for my liking. I can’t have a full scoop alone. It makes me sick. So I experimented a little and found that banana balances the taste. So I started to add banana and cinnamon and I have to say I like it a lot now. Here in my girly Starbucks Tumbler 🙂
We had a lot of veggies left from our weekend’s food shopping. I was a little tired from my workout. It was Power Plate Tuesday again. So I chopped few veggies and cheese, stuffed a small hokkaido pumpkin with it and grilled it in the oven. It was simply wonderful! So easy and quickly prepared. The pumpkin was perfect with a nutty rich flavor. Fall Food Love!!!!!
Now I have to dash to catch my train. And tonight I will spend some time with all the other wonderful WIAW blogger 🙂
Ans,d I am pretty sure that tonight will be the first time I can cross out one thing of my want-do list! YAY! Have a wonderful Hump Day!
