it’s Friday – or as I call it: Happy Day, TGIF or the day I make an early sweet escape 🙂
Usually you will find me posting here on Fridays contributing in Steffi’s Frage Foto Freitag but this week apparently there will be no link up. So I decided I won’t miss out on the fun but will involve myself in another blogging party. I have read many many Five on Friday posts on other blogs I follow and loved the idea behind sharing things you love. So today I will be game.
So I am on the mission to tell you about 5 things I loved this week. Sounds easy enough but I really had to think hard about it. Let’s start with something easy:
– one –
As I told you last week I wanted to buy another pair of Nike Free’s for the gym. I was a little obsessed I have to admit. I was in this wonderful shop and was so disappointed when they had nothing in stock I particularly liked. Either it didn’t seem to fit right or I didn’t like the style. In the evening I tried another local shop and they got a new delivery only the previous day. I tried two pairs and loved the one I bought instantly. I owe a debit card of the shop so I got a 15% discount and paid less that 100 Euros. I was so happy.
I already tried them at the gym (weight lifting, cross fit & cardio) and they were brilliant for all kinds of sport I prefer. And don’t they look super cute? I usually avoid to take a too close look in the mirror at the gym because let’s say I am not at my prettiest all sweaty and without any make-up. But last week I couldn’t stop smiling geekly to myself in the mirror.
– two –
The temperatures gradually decrease here in Germany at the moment and I am so happy it’s finally the beginning of fall. I am repeating myself but fall is by far my favorite season. During the summer I felt a little odd. Not focused, not committed, it was too hot to workout – I felt a little upside down. Now this last week I finally managend to get back into my stride. I worked out 6 days out of 7 (perfect!) and ate about 90% clean (almost perfect but enough for me to be satisfied with myself!)
And I feel so much better than I felt in the last 2 month! And my body confidence increased dramatically in only one week. I still haven’t lost all the weight I gained but it doesn’t matter so much anymore because I finally feel good! Fingers crossed it will last!
– three –
I think I never told you that I am obsessed with all kinds of stationary. Yes, guilty. I can never visit a stationary shop without buying at least some post-its. And my biggest addiction by far are diarys and notebooks. Believe me I have many! This week I started a new wellness log. So much fun!
Maybe I am a bit nerdy but this notebook for about 3 Euros made my day! I just get so much motivation out of tracking my food, workouts, medis and overall well-being. When I feel like a motivational setback is coming I flip through the pages and read about the fantastic food I ate and workouts I killed and read how great I felt. And easy-peasy I am back on track!

Of course there is some food involved this week 🙂
I love my little private rites. This could be a Starbucks coffee every morning or some Bailey’s in my Soy Latte every Sunday or even sitting down at my computer and sipping a cup of coffee with hazelnut milk whilst reading my favorite blogs (I realize I drink a lot of coffee). At the moment it’s having a life bar as my post-workout snack.
Life bar is a special raw food bar of different ingredients. My favorite one is the brazil bar consisting of dates, brazil nuts, almonds, dried coconut, ground tigernut and vanilla. I love it especially post-workout or whenever I need a quick pick up of my energy levels. Unfortunately the pure deliciousness is pretty darn expensive. So I try to make my own. I haven’t got the perfect balance of ingredients yet but I feel that I am pretty close. I will share my recipe here soon! Promise 🙂
– five –
Last but not least I will share with you my current top 5 running songs:
These songs really gets me going. I have a tough time to hold my pace and not to run too fast! Of course there are a lot of other fabulous songs I hear whilst running but lately these 5 really give me the kick!
I am looking forward to participate in this event today and I am really looking forward to get to know other blogs and the wonderful bloggers behind! Happy Friday all together!
