today is my first day back at work after my holidays. Can’t say I am too excited! Over my holidays my colleague finally moved from our shared office to her new office. So – YAY – I am on my own now. The only downer is that we still have only one telephone and of course it will stay in my office. But I do not really mind since I had about three calls over the last three weeks. I think I can cope…
But the good thing about Wednesdays is, that it’s WIAW again 🙂
So let’s move to business…
Short before our trip to Italy we went to a blueberry farm where you can pick fruit by yourself. Amazing! We brought about 10 pounds of the best blueberries ever and I froze most of them as we couldn’t eat them befor our trip. So these last few days I had my oatmeal topped with these phantastic blueberries. They are my favorite! Too good! I had some coffe with soy milk as well.
My second latest addiction is peaches. They are perfectly ripe at the moment. The flesh is sweet yet firm and you don’t have to bent yourself over the sink whilst eating/slurping them. So I had a wonderful peach with peanut butter. YUM!
For meal #3 I planned and cooked some broccoli with soy sauce and a slash of coconut milk. My favorite way of eating broccoli. It looked lovely, smelled mouthwatering and tasted… lets say off! Major fail! I was a little disappointed and it went straight to the bin. Since there was not much left in the fridge and I had no time for food shopping I decided to prepare a revival of my breakfast and had blueberry topped oatmeal again. Not very creative but definitely satisfying. And of course there was more coffee involved.
My gym plans went phut about 10 minutes following my breakfast when I realized it was the perfect morning to do the laundry (which I procrastinated for ages). At that point I really thought I would go to the gym in the afternnon but let’s say I was lying to myself. After the laundry I moved straight to the living room and performed a full basic cleaning which took me about 4 hours. You know the kind of cleaning when you rearrange all the dvds and books etc. Then I moved to the kichen and rearranged some of my jars with all the wheats and grains. Full cleaning will be soon.
Then it was 6pm and gym was definitely off the cards since there was still supper left for me to prepare. I wanted to bake a huge amount of beanburgers for the freezer. But I needed the workout so I did a focused 20 minutes arm workout with dumbbells and resistance bands followed by a 20 minutes abs workout. I didn’t feel satisfied so I decided to go for a short run. All in all I ran 75 minutes. Not short but it felt great to run outside after spending the day inside. The temeprature was amazing for running. Fresh and crisp. You can feel fall pending.
Back at home I spend about 1hour in the kitchen and when my hubby arrived from soccer practice we had supper together.
Needless to say that my evening was ratehr short afterwards.
Love to see what you ate yesterday 🙂 Thanks Jenn for hosting this!
